SUMMARY OF ROLE
Emerson develops Flow computers and RTUs which are used in Oil & Gas market. They are used for measurement & control purpose. Emerson is having multiple flow computers and RTU to cater different customers.
Primary role of developer is to participate in product engineering for existing products which includes -
a. Provide solutions to customer issues reported from field by changing device firmware
b. Add/Enhance features in RTU or Flow Computer by changing firmware
c. Develop customer specific Oil & Gas applications in C /C# which can run on RTU with other firmware in real time environment.
Additionally, as and when needed, support for new product development firmware & applications.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities of the job will include
Adhere to local and international Emerson principles, practices and procedures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors in Electronics / Computers / Electricals / Instrumentation with good score from reputed colleges
Skilled in software development, preferably within an industrial computing environment
Proficient in C with design skills
Good to have C# knowledge
Good SW design skills using real time concept and data structures
Knowledge of industry protocols, security, communication mechanism, PLC, RTU etc. will be advantage.
