Job Description

    The position will be a part of the GFSS CI - Data Analytics CoE and will be integral to defining approach , methodology and tools to analyze financial data and provide meaningful actionaable inputs to the GFSS & Finance Leadership and teams . This position will work closely with the GFSS Data Analytics CoE Lead by executing the Data Management strategy for the GFSS organization and focus on identifying mechansing by which we can deliver impactful information and analytical solutions to the GFSS stakeholders. The position will be responsible along with Data Analytics CoE lead in identifying, developing, and executing data management strategy for GFSS. As a Data Anlayst this position will focus on identifying tools and methodolgies to analyze data captured from various ERPs/Source systems and present it in the form of meaningful -actionable insights/inputs . This position will be responsible for working with the GFSS CI Leader and Data Analytics CoE Leader and helping transform GFSS that truly differentiates and competes on data information and analytics. The position will require adaption of latest technology and tools in the field of Data Analytics developing Descriptive, Predictive & Prescriptive Analytics. This role will be expected to work with each GFSS centers and GPLs in identifying data requirements, evaluate these requirements in line with the GFSS Data Management strategy and then working with the Data Analytics CoE team, process teams and the relevant IT teams to execute on these requirement in a time bound and efficient manner .This role will be responsible for status reports on a regular and consistent basis for these requirements. The role will focus on increasing and maintaining the organisation s effectiveness and efficiency by defining and delivering strategic plans for implementing information technologies related to data management and direct the delivery of outcomes aligned with the organisations goals, strategies, practices, and projects. The role will involve the initiation, coordination, and enforcement of systems, policies, and procedures around data management in GFSS.
    • Defining methodogies to analyze data from various source systems to provide relevant insightful information related to financial data to GFSS Stakeholders and Customer Working closely with Data Scientist and Data Analytics CoE leader and support analysing information and data from business perspective
    • Identify mechanisms to analyze data in the most cost effective and timely manner using machine learning & deep learning and Involved in strategic planning for data analytics
    • Informing the team and senior leadership regarding project progress and operational performance
    • Problem solving to help address technical blockers and maximise the efficiency of team resources
    • Developing strategies to enhance the effectiveness and impact of Data Analytics function
    • Coordination with GFSS Leadership globally and diverse range of business units and stakeholders
    • Lead and direct applications for data analytics technologies, including the identification emerging technology trends, future commercial solutions development working closely with the GFSS CI Lead , Data Analytics team and other stakehoders
    • Find and incorporate best practices in data analytics and data management from inside & outside
    • Building core competencies within organization for data analytics and data management based intelligent products, systems and services
    • Will be expected to keep Data Analytics CoE function ahead of market by anticipating new technology trends, identifying suitable tools and effectively implementing them
    • Interact with various global stakeholders from different businesses, functions and regions for leveraging best practices, standardizing reports and enhancing the decision making process through latest Business Intelligence techniques
    • Partners closely with IT to drive progress
    • Strong partnership with IT (Data Management), SCM (their COE), Sector Finance, Corporate FP&A, Treasury, Tax and Internal Audit
    QualificationsMasters Degree in Finance and Accountin5-6 years of progressive experience in working on financial data analyticsExperience with data analysis & data miningKnowledge of design and deployment of Data LakeExperience in the finance and accounting domain with an understanding of customer needs, through a holistic understanding of customer s problem area with reference to financial data analysisExperience and understanding of a wide variety of analytical processes (governance, measurement, etc.).Experience with business driven / self-service CIExperience with Data Visualization with use of BI Tools, Hadoop, cloudera, R, Phyton, etc.Data security and privacyShould be well versed with Data & Information Management, Reporting & MIS, Ad-hoc reporting, Business Insight & AnalysisMust be conversant with automation techniquesWhat you will get from usEaton s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
