Job Description

Role ProfileRole title: GM - Reporting & Dashboarding Function: GBIS - _VOIS Band: F2 Department: Group BI _VOIS Reports to: Head of GBIS Location: Pune#_VOISRole purpose:The primary purpose of this role is to Lead the Reporting and Dashboarding unit in _VOIS which delivers Visualisation solutions to various Vodafone local markets globally.The role supports Head of GBIS on BI Strategy & execution. Manages the Local Market Reporting and Dashboarding delivery team and consulting as part of GBIS which can deliver bottom-line impact to the company/partners through a strong, efficient and capable team that serves multiple Vodafone markets across the world in managed services model. The role networks well with the senior leadership in Group BI as well as Vodafone OpCo to promote & evangelize the use of data -backed Visualisation solutions in decision making. The role promotes efficiency by leveraging existing solutions and drives innovation in solution, techniques as well as delivery through the use of evolving tools, techniques / technologies.The candidate works across teams within Vodafone to agree scope, deliverables, process and expected outcomes from the products and services developed.Key accountabilities and decision ownership

  • Provide Strategic leadership for Reporting and Dashboarding unit
  • Design, build & run a strong, efficient & capable Reporting and Dashboarding team to deliver state of art visualisation solutions (models, analyses & scenarios) across the spectrum delivering high visibility, complex & impactful projects to senior business leaders
  • Creation & delivery of the Visualisation Strategy. Identify and commoditize best practices across markets.
  • Drive uniform Visualisation standards across markets.
  • Senior Stakeholder management
  • Establish strong processes for seamless service delivery within budgets
  • Drive value, innovation & efficiency
  • Lead & Support cross functional initiatives across the organization
  • Support & contribute to the Data & Analytics leadership to design & deliver the Visualisation strategy
  • Work closely with Analytics and Data team and senior leadership for a collaborative and impactful solutions
Core competencies, knowledge and experience
  • Strong People & Senior Stakeholder Management skills
  • 14 plus years of industry experience in BI
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills with track record of engaging with senior business leaders
  • Flexibility, problem solving, dealing with ambiguity and influencing without authority
  • Previous experience in Telecom & Team management would be a distinct advantage
  • Ability to navigate through complex organizational structures
  • Ability to create & deliver on Organizational Strategy
Must have technical / professional qualifications
  • Engg/ PG in Engineering or similar / MBA from a premier institute
  • Hands on experience in Visualisation tools like Qlik, MSTR, Tableau with through knowledge of various visualisation techniques
  • Exceptional data manipulation and analysis techniques; comfortable using very large datasets, containing both structured and unstructured data
  • Exposure to cloud solutions
  • Someone who has played key role in moving from on-prem to cloud migration journey
  • Follow the best know development methodology like SAFe Agile for the development.
