Job Description

Job ResponsibilitiesJob Role: Hadoop AdminExperience: 4 to 6 YearsJob Location: Pune

  • Thorough knowledge of Big Data technologies in Hadoop eco system Have in depth knowledge of managing highly critical and fault tolerant Hadoop clusters
  • Strong hadoop administration skills covering HDFS HBase Hive Impala Be proficient in Linux scripting Working knowledge in SOLR SPARK is preferred
  • Responsibilities Manage and maintain Hadoop clusters for uninterrupted availability
  • Monitor all the different hadoop services and act quickly on any alerts Manage Incident bridges and drive Root Cause Analysis for production incidents
  • Address queries from multiple sets of users on the cluster Generate usage reports for different applications and users on the cluster Prepare capacity management and forecast plans for senior management Manage BCP and DR strategy Other Skills
  • Outstanding spoken and written English communication skills Business and technical analysis skills Self starter eager to grow career
  • Proven desire to drive issues to resolution Understanding of ITIL methodologies
  • Qualifications and Education Bachelor s degree in a technical discipline from a top tier university 3 to 5 years experience managing hadoop clusters Experience in financial services industry and managing CDH clusters will be preferred
