This provides compliance departments with more transparency and efficiency. The implementation of the CAT may well kick off one of the largest and most expensive IT rebuilds in the history of capital markets. Large broker-dealers will be required to submit their U.S. equities and options data in eligible securities to the CAT Processor, FINRA CAT, as mandated by Rule 613 of the U.S. Securities Exchange Commission (SEC). As a result, many firms will have to re-architect existing reporting platforms and, with large broker-dealers compelled to begin submitting data soon, the clock is ticking on CAT readiness.What you will be doingThis position works with Protegent CAT: and must have understanding on the Hadoop Admin position and exposure on working on the production environment.What you bring:Knowledge / Experience

  • Working knowledge on Hadoop ecosystem
  • Understanding of HDFS
  • Understanding of processing engine Spark
  • Understanding on Hive databases
  • Exposure on Hadoop installation
  • Understanding on Ambari dashboard
  • Understanding on Kafka
  • Admin related issues troubleshooting exposures
  • Working experience on Production issues
  • Understanding on Node addition and removals
  • Load balancing information is good to have
  • Cluster management information is good to have
Skills
  • Minimum 4-5 and maximum 7-8 year s work experience working in Hadoop ecosystem and UNIX
  • Past experience of working in a production environment
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent

  • Excellent communicator ability to discuss technical and commercial solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion
