Job Description Hardware Engineer Primary Location: India- Maharashtra- PuneJob Function: Information TechnologyJob Posting Date: Jun 21, 2019, 11: 23: 47 AM Organizational Position: Hardware Engineer Hardware Design, Grade B1/ B2 reports functionally to Team Leader/ Technical Leader Embedded Center of Excellence (ECoE) at Emerson Innovation Center- Pune. Responsibilities- Interact with product management development teams to develop requirements for designing of hardware. Identify and convert the product specifications into hardware requirements by interacting with software development team, customer support department and marketing team. Design, Develop, test and analyze hardware modules for devices supporting various fieldbus protocols like HART, Profibus, Foundation fieldbus, Ethernet. The individual will be responsible for vendor management, prototyping, component procurement, material management for his/ her module as well as deviceIndividual will be responsible for complete functional (hardware validation), environmental (Thermal, shock, Dry- heat, Vibration, Humidity) EMC (Surge, EFT, ESD, CS, CE, RE, RS) validation. Design for product integration, validation and customer support Creating and maintaining hardware development schedule. Creating various artifacts like design document, test plans and respective reports. Qualification: Qualification: B. E in Electronics/ Electronics Telecomm. Experience Skill Sets Requirements: Relevant work experience of around 3- 7 years in embedded hardware developmentIndividually should be able to complete schematic, simulation and circuit analysisStrong knowledge of power supply design and validation for industrial productsStrong knowledge of Analog interface, IO design and validation for industrial productsGood knowledge of PCB layout rules and techniqueMust have hands on experience of testing tools like MSO, DSO, Function generator, DAQExperience in preparing hardware development schedule, creation of BOM, making design document, different hardware test plans Basic knowledge of fieldbus protocols (like RS485, HART, Modbus, Profibus), Micro- controller protocols like SPI, I2C, UART, industrial networks (Ethernet), basics of industrial host systems. Knowledge of Intrinsic safe design and wireless protocol would be an added advantage Excellent team player with great communication skills (written, and verbal). Must be flexible, independent and self- motivated. Minimal supervision will be preferred. Good team player across organization and quick learning attitude Result orientation and focus on details.
