Job Description

  1. Creating the vision and strategy for planning, logistics and warehousing across India, establishing the footprint, organisation structure and team to deliver this strategy.
  2. and managing a robust and agile transportation network to ensure timely distribution.
  3. Managing the inventory, pilferages, scrap etc and ensure complete transparency.
  4. Building a world-class quality system by bringing in the best practices suiting to organizations requirement.
  5. Expertise in WH Layout design, Rack planning, material Handling Equipment planning for optimum space utilization.
  6. Monitoring Stock Count Process to ensure Stock accuracy - Cyclic, Daily, Quarterly and Half-yearly counts at WHs.
  7. Good knowledge of the latest technology, innovation in the area of Supply chain.
  8. Evaluate SCM budgets periodically including manpower planning initiatives and ensure adherence to planned expenses.
  9. He will be responsible for identifying transportation routes to maximize economy by combining or consolidating warehousing and distribution
  10. Appointing, negotiating and monitoring of Transporters to achieve seamless and Cost-effective movement of consignments for timely deliveries.
  11. Interfacing with cross-functional departments for ascertaining procurement plans and manage the storage optimization in the warehouses
  12. Education: Any Engineering Graduate (Mandatory), Post-graduation in Supply chain would be Preferred, key focus on planning and logistics.
  13. Experience: 15-18 Years in the Supply chain with at least 4 years either in Retail or Rural distribution Environment and supply chain operations
  14. Have a strong hands-on people management, interpersonal skills, stakeholder management, team building, leadership and coaching skills.
  15. Excellent negotiation skills required to negotiate with suppliers, vendors and partners across geographies
  16. Ability to work with multiple constraints. Candidate will be dealing with legal, financial, commercial, technical and business side teams both internal as well as external.
