Job Description

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver analytical / decision services to Vodafone s businesses across the globe. The role works with departments across Vodafone (e.g. Finance, Technology, and Commercial teams), a nd is a part of the Vodafone Shared Services organisation in India.The incumbent works on the assigned pro jects & its stakeholder with the help & guidance of the project manage r to understand the business challenges faced by them. Using expertise in analy tics, the incumbent provide structured and data-backed analytics solutions to c reate bottom-line impact for the business. The role leverages / re-engineers ex isting solutions to delivery efficiently. The role also demands an innovation l ed approach to delivery through the use of evolving analytical techniques / tec hnologies.The candidate works with the assigned business stakeholder(s) to agree scope, deliverables, process and expected outcomes from the products and services developed.Key accountabilities and decision owners hip:

  • Supportbuild & deployment of analytical solutions (models, hypothesis, analyses & sc enarios) across the spectrum of analytical maturity - descriptive, inferential, predictive & prescriptive
  • Lever age previously created data models, insights and analyses fromacross the Vodaf one business to drive positive business outcomes
  • Drive efficiencies in how analytic al services are delivered, through automation and standardisation of analytical delivery
  • Providea delightful and easy to work experience to the business stakeholders while setti ng clear expectations
& Key performance indicators [max 3] :
  • Analytics solutions models (Proof of concepts, Proofs of value, Automated models)
  • Creationof reusable, defined analytical products (includi ng documentation and, where appropriate, training)
  • Visualisation of results / P resentation of output
, *Core competencies, knowledge and experie nce :
  • Mastersin Ana lytics, Operations Research, Statistics or similar / MBA from a premierB-schoo l
  • Minimum experience of 8 years in Consulting or Analytics
  • Excellentcommunication &am p; presentation skills with track recordof engaging with business project lead s
  • Fl exibility and problem solving
  • Previous experie nce in Telecom would be a distinct advantage
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
  • Hands on experience in Analytical toolslike SAS, SPSS, R with through knowl edge of various analytical & statistical techniques
  • Adequate exposure to Data v isualisation tools like Tableau, Qlikview, SAS Visual Analytics, etc.
  • Exceptional d ata manipulation and analysis techniques; comfortable using very large (>10& rsquo;s millions rows) datasets, containing both structured and unstructured da ta
  • Experience in use of Big Data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Hive, Pig, etc.) is desirable
