Key Purpose of Role:The position is a key role in the organisation leading the day-to-day operations of the IDC and responsible fordelivering timely and effective design support to the global business. The IDC has a pivotal role with multipleteams that provide Enquiry Design and Planning support for the Commercial Sales Regions across the globe aswell as Production Design service for all Global Manufacturing sites.The position will be required to review management and processes with the objective of making adjustments andchanges to streamline and improve efficiencies across departments.Job responsibilities:Deliver effective project support to the global sales regions - right first time approachDevelop a strong working relationship between the IDC and the sales regionsWork closely with the management team in the IDC to ensure best practices are in place to obtainoptimal resultsBuild teams within each department that can independently process the requests to move projectsforwardEnquiry Design custom carpet design service provided during the sales process for theCommercial Sales RegionsPlanning quantifying amounts of carpet needed per the clients scope via AutoCad floorplans during the sales processProduction Design reviewing design drafting quality after order placement and ensuringclients desired concept will translate into carpet properlyDevelop teams to work together across multiple disciplinesImprove employee retentionHave the understanding and ability to assess the management styles of the department heads andascertain what processes need to be put in place in order optimize the output of each team.Will be involved in projects between the three commercial regions (Amercias, EMEA, APAC).Have to lead weekly/monthly meetings via conference calls with design and project management headsfrom each region.Key working relationships:Internal (to IDC) Contacts : Enquiry Design Manager, Planning Manager, Production Design Manager, IDC HRManager, IDC IT ManagerExternal Brintons Contact : Group Manufacturing Director, Group Commercial Sales Director, Regional SalesDirectors, Sales Regionss Design Manager and Project ManagersCandidate Details : Understanding of the custom design processInternational work experience managing projectsacross different geographical regionsMinimum 5+ years of people management withexperience managing multiple, large/complexteams.Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite ofproducts, specifically Word, Excel, Powerpointand MS Project,
