Job Description

*Assists with the design, improvement, and installation of integrated manufacturing or administrative systems which use people, materials, information, equipment, and energy.Assists with the creation of standard work methods for new and current production lines.Assists with the design of safe and efficient work stations for manufacturing environments, using plant layout, ergonomic, and work station design principles.Assists with cost analysis on make vs. buy decisions for component or sub-assemblies., *SkillsCommunicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.Ergonomic Fundamentals - Understands ergonomic concepts by applying Cummins ergonomic standards, guidelines, controls and tools to reduce ergonomic risk to employees while at work.Line Balancing - Evaluates work activities performed by individuals or machines to identify opportunities to optimize operating time and distributing of the work content to meet the changes in customer demands while continuing to optimize manufacturing processes.Process Documentation - Produces written manufacturing procedures in proper sequence which are followed correctly by all approved stakeholders to establish continuity in processes and standardization.Process Layout - Creates and/or modifies an optimized manufacturing process by incorporating knowledge of equipment, human interfaces, sequences of production steps, and facilities requirements in order to reduce process time and waste.Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.Process Simulation - Develops virtual models of processes using available tools and quantitative analyses techniques to optimize these processes and make effective business decisions. Work Measurement - Quantifies and evaluates the elements of work that make up a process by breaking it down into detailed steps to identify and reduce waste, and redistribute work content to optimize process flows. Workstation Design - Designs operator work stations that are safe, healthy, and ergonomic while accounting for cost, quality, and delivery to contribute to an efficient work environment.Manufacturing Knowledge - Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the functions needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.Data Mining - Extracts insights from data by identifying relationships and patterns through use of a suite of data exploration and data visualization techniques to understand the underlying structure of the data and enable sound conclusions upon model building.Manufacturing Analysis Led Design - Uses digital tools to model and simulate manufacturing processes, equipment and performance to make data driven decisions before changes are made and to drive continuous improvements.Education, Licenses, CertificationsCollege, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.ExperienceBasic level of relevant work experience required.Skills/Roles and Responsibilities1. Candidate should have experience in Virtual Process Design2. The candidate will help define the process in system.3. Ability to understand, create and write new methodology and processes.4. Must have exposure to PDM/MPM tools development & deployment.5. The candidate should have knowledge on Windchill API s and data structure.6. Should have expertise in BOM management.7.
