Job Description

  • Experience in Instrumentation design for Chemical, Fertilizer, Pharmaceutical or Oil and Gas plants
  • Handle the project independently to the satisfaction of internal and external customers.
  • Manage multiple contracts, including PLC systems, continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS), and instrumentation supply.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines for design of systems and provide P&ID design including instrumentation and related mechanical design
  • Selection of Field Instruments RTD, Thermocouples, Switches, Orifice, Transmitters, Control Valves, Shut-Off Valves and Solenoid Valves based on the area classification
  • Experience in preparing schematics, wiring diagram, field wiring diagram, installation drawing, cable schedule, junction box drawing, load list, as-built drawing.
  • Estimate bill of material, MTO, free issue materials, erection bulks such as tubes, fittings, cables, cable trays, conduits, junction box etc.
  • Hands on Experience Cable lengths and sizes calculation, Cable tray sizing design. Preparation of cable tray layouts.
  • Experience in preparing of Control Schemes, Termination Drawings, Logic Diagrams, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Alarm List based on Operation Philosophy, Interconnection Schedule, Loop Diagrams, Loop checks and functional checks
  • Review vendor drawing submittals compared to contractual requirements and industry best practices
  • Participation in Hazop Study, Assist with purchasing requirements for projects assistance.
  • Hands on Experience on FAT, SAT & Commissioning Activities
  • Knowledge on PLC Selection like SIEMENS, Alan Brandley, etc to suit project requirements.
  • Knowledge on the SIL calculation, Knowledge on ATEX, CCOE certification, Experience in working with EPC
  • Able to work jointly with German colleagues and propose cost effective design.
  • Liaison with client/vendors and inter departments like process, mechanical, electrical etc. to resolve project and technical issues
  • Enforce the systems and processes as suggested by the head of the team to improve the efficiency of the team under his control for optimization of work flow, use of new design technology and other methods
  • Have the ability to do the vendor development
