This engineer will work with Medline s integration tools and technologies, API definitions, cross - product functionality, and functional teams across the IS department to ensure Medline is able to meet its growing integration needs.As an engineer focused on API & Platform Integrations, you will be a technical subject matter expert of Medline s Integrations Architecture, ensuring integrations work together seamlessly and answer top use case requirements. The challenging responsibilities of the position include: Work with customers and technology partners to integrate solutions Ensure 3rd - party products integrate into Medline s platform in a safe and coherent way Participate in the evolution of APIs and overall service platform within larger architecture, product design and planning processes Work with highly talented teams to execute the API and platform integration roadmap Guide teams new to integration and develop working prototypes Collaborate closely with Product Development teams Rework legacy data integrations to follow modern standards and practices Deliver integrated solutions by ing proven agile delivery methodologies technology standards, such as integration technologies and service standards Translate user requirements into effective solutions Participate in design meetings with users, management and architects Assists in estimating the size and scope of projects on the service roadmap Analyzes production issues as necessary to determine the cause of the issue and determine the necessary course of action for resolution Follows and helps to establish integration and service standards Creates and delivers documentation as necessary to ensure proper use of changed and newly implemented efforts Maintains a professional demeanor at all times Consistently able to interact professionally and work productively with all levels of Medline employees Follows Medline s Code of Ethics and other corporate policies Skills, Experience and Education Required: Self - starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities within a fast - paced work environment Strong problem solving characteristics with the ability to think out of the box Must be highly motivated and dependable with excellent communication skills Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal team members as well as business stakeholders Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related Skills, Experience to jump to the top of the candidate list: Knowledge in the following technologies Messaging, JavaScript, XML, JSON Experience in implementing solutions based upon integration technologies (WSO2, TIBCO BW, SAP PI, etc.) Experience with ETL technologies (Talend, SSIS, etc) Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing integration solutions Experience implementing Web Service Integration ( REST, SOAP) , APIs, course grained and micro services Experience in service lifecycles and enterprise service definition Total years of experience: 5+ relevant years of experience About Medline: Medline is the largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of healthcare supplies in the United States, providing more than 350,000 products that serve the entire continuum of care.
