Job Description

The Integration Technical Lead will be a key member of the Vodafone UK IT Integration Domain, owning the design, delivery and optimization of high quality code for APIs & Services running on the integration platform and used by Vodafone and 3rd party partner clients. He / She will actively contribute in the key architectural decision making & solution decisions as the primary technical expert representative from the Integration domain team. It is essential that the candidate has strong command over integration technology, standards & best practices as the decisions will have a direct influence in the long run on the deliverable & on other components of the stackas well.The Tech Lead will represent the integration domain in critical end to end solutionanalysis and design sessions for each release and ensure that the governance standards are followed in the agreed solution & the overall design makes optimum use of the integration layer in the stack. He / she is expected to ensure there are no compromises made in the domain principals duringthese phases.The candidate must have strong command over all aspects of software engineering including solution design as well as development. The senior developer will be responsible for high complexity solution design as well asimplementations in scope for each release. He/she would also review & optimize deliveries from the developers from his/her scrum team when required. The Tech Lead is required to have excellent.The candidate should be a proficient software engineering professional with a good understanding of SOA patterns, Integration design and development with knowledge of RESTfulAPI design, alongwith significant experience of industry leading integration suites and API gateway solutions, preferably including TIBCO suite.Key accountabilities and decision ownership [max 5]: Represent the integration domain in e2e requirement analysis &solution design stages for each release & provide optimized solutions fromintegration domain to ensure optimum e2e performance and resource utilization. Understand the release requirements & provide precise effort estimates & capacity planning glide-paths for future releases with onlyhigh-level requirement as inputs. Design & develop multiple strategic high complexity integration solutions on Tibco and/or Oracle FMW architecture in parallel while also ensuring very good scalability index for future readiness. Enforce excellent quality, best practises &governance standardsto ensure high quality and continuously improving deliverables from the entire domain development team. Provide insights& value additions through code reviews of peers and juniors from the team.Also assist & guide junior developers in the team in technical issues & optimizations.Core competencies, knowledge and experience [max 5]: Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience as a SOA/Integration software engineer with provenhands on design AND development credentials with Tibco/Oracle FMW integration platforms. Minimum 2 yearsof exposure to strategic E2E solution architecture design for telecom domain. Expert on TIBCO products (EMS7.x / 8.x, BW 5.x/6.x, Active Spaces, APIX) and/or Oracle FMW (AIA PIP, SOA, OSB 11g/12c etc.) products, XML standards. Expert with application/internet gateways, core Java programming, JMS, Oracle SQL, caching techniques, encryption standards. Command over eTOM, AGILE methodology and general SDLC. Ability to own the deliverables of a complete scrum team as a technical expert.Key performance indicators [max 3]: Delivery of highquality & high performance integration solution designs for release scope together with capacity planning for the scrum team. Single handed ownership of the integration domain in various analysis & design phasesto ensure right-first-time solutions from the domain.
