• 10-15 Years of Experience with a consistent track record in development projects involving product development as individual contributor and team/tech lead.
• Experience of managing, motivating, developing / coaching and appraising team assigned to the project.
• 3+ years managing a team of 5+ people.
• Experience in leading the development of complex, scale out, distributed systems based on Service Oriented Architecture/Micro services (preferred).
• Understand modern programming languages such as Go/Python programming and concepts such as multi-threading, data intensive applications, no SQL DB s
• Demonstrated experience in building products in the areas of Cloud/SaaS (preferred) services, Storage. Understanding of cloud technologies (AWS preferred) is plus.
• Extensive hands on experience in Go/Python/C/C++/Java on Unix/Linux or Windows platform
• Excellent programming skills along with Data structures, Algorithms, Design Concepts
• Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to articulate and present technical solutions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to develop and maintain working relationships at all levels, both with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Customer focused, with strong teamwork skills and a flexible self-motivated approach.
• Experience in enterprise software, deep knowledge on software development including threading, network and disk IO, data transformations, data integrity, systems management, systems administration and monitoring.
Desirable Skills:
• Exposure to specific technologies around Office 365/VMWare/HyperV/Nutanix/Oracle/MSSQL
• 10+ years of software development experience in C/C++/ Python/Golang
• 1+ years application troubleshooting and customer facing experience.
• Experience in working with SoA (Service oriented Architecture)
• Experience in Cloud Technologies (preferably AWS)
• A strong understanding of complex concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and programming practices.
• Insights into development of client-server, scale out distributed applications with good breadth across networking, storage, micro services and other web technologies. Insights into bigdata technologies is a definite plus.
• Strong technical leader with excellent communication skills who can collaborate with cross-functionaltechnical teams to meet the solution architecture needs of the product.
• Knowledge of the Backup or Storage domain will be an advantage.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Suggest and propose solutions to complex design problems for respective technology/workload.
• Fix Product Bugs and deliver code changes to Production.
• Work closely with the Sales/Tech Support/Customer Success/Professional Services team assisting them on their POC s and Implementation Projects.
• Own and drive the Cloud Production issues for investigation and RCA, delivering a solution and working with the development team.
• Drive validation of future releases in a staging environment for customer use cases, gatekeeper for product release and quality assurance.
• Partner with respective scrum teams and Product Management for feature design & product improvements.
• Ensure communication flows well cross-functionally for product updates and known issues.
