IPMDM Application Lead

I nstrument and Price Master Data Management Technology (IPMDM) department requires a Project Lead for our India (Pune/Chennai) development team.Will be involved in all aspects of software delivery including analysis, requirements gathering, design, development, testing and handover to the production support team.The Project Lead will lead cross platform, cross divisional initiatives within IPMDM, and will be responsible for leading & developing solutions to satisfy business strategic, regulatory and platform enhancing needs. The team manages firm s strategic Instrument and Pricing reference data capabilities and enhancement and provide single source of data to all systems in the firm.The role includes: line management and mentoring of team resources, own and contribute design sessions, implementation of technical solutions, unit testing and release coordination. The lead developer will also help coordinate, organize, and work as part of a local team, regularly liaising with colleagues in other regions.What will you be doing Front to back design and implementation of functional and non-functional requirements which will require implementing new application components, integrating existing components and pulling together data from various sources.Actively engage in the delivery process and collaborate with other delivery team members to makes sure that the focus is on business value deliveryMake sure that all development is in line with Barclays & IPMDM StandardsTeam player committed to developing a culture of transparency, integrity and collaboration where all team members are motivated and inspired to deliver the required outcome, taking into account risk and process optimisation factors.Ensures the very highest standard of risk control is adopted throughout their team and all relevant policies and procedures are adhered to.What we re looking for:Bachelors or master degree, preferable in Computer systems or FinanceStrong experience in programming languages like C# ,C ++ and/or JavaStrong experience in Relational Databases like Oracle, Sql Server and PL/SQLExperience in Perl, Scripting languages, development exposure with XMLDevelopment tools such as: Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, Maven, TeamCity, Perforce, Jira, GIT , Stash, Chef, Nolio, Junit and scheduling tools like AutosysExposure to Behaviour Driven Development (BDD and TDD) and Agile Methodologies.Experienced in complex data analysis, data linage workflow analysis, data modellingSkills that will help you in the role:Experience of working in an Investment bankBloomberg/Reuters/Rating Agencies/Stock Exchanges, Corporate Actions processing, Regulatory Reporting, Static and Timeseries feed processing.Knowledge of financial instruments like stocks, equity indices ETFs, bonds, convertible bonds, options, futures, forwards, IRS, Equity swaps, OTC Exotic derivatives.Where will you be working Pune Be More at Barclays At Barclays, each day is about being more as a professional, and as a person.
