ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide continuous support and increasing operational expertise in a dynamic 7x24x365 environment Ability to bring process and process improvements to the organization and be an effective agent of change. Mentoring and expanding the team s talent base. Develop & infuse solid process skills within the team. Developing and adhering to defined policies and procedures to ensure proper systems deployment, support, growth and maintenance that is consistent with company goals and objectives. Providing clear leadership and direction to enhance the team s value to the business. Prioritize and oversee all daily activities of the Pune Technical Operations team, keeping a talented, energetic team motivated and pressing forward to provide world class solutions and service. Being responsible for managing or escalating Production issues in the US overnight Being an active participant in the Pune office leadership team meetings and representing Technical Operations and ensuring Tech Ops best practices and governance are enforced. Providing technical expertise and strong leadership with a positive can do , will do attitude Work effectively, collaboratively and positively with the US based team where high level direction and objectives will be established. Proving status reports and metrics on projects, initiatives, victories and challenges. Must be able to collaborate and socialize new ideas and solutions within TO defined boundaries while enforcing those boundaries within the Pune office. Building collaborative and constructive relationships within the Global Tech Ops team as well as other departments. Fine tune existing standard practices and platforms for efficiencies that align with the Global Tech Ops overall objectives. Developing technology solutions to business challenges which complement the overall goals and objectives of Global Technical Operations Develop and maintain a system of measurements which demonstrates continuous improvement of the team and value to the business. Support / administer the US based systems and applications which are at the core of RSI s infrastructure. Continuously review, recommend and propose innovating solutions both procedurally and technically. Work with peer groups to enhance service, maintain consistent uptime and deliver a quality product and customer experience. Provide system level expertise, engineering, architecture and management to ensure success.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Ability to be involved in multiple projects simultaneously without becoming distracted. College degree in the field of computer science and/or 10 years equivalent work experience in a highly technical field. Three years of recent supervisory / manager / leadership experience managing a technology centric team. 3 years in a Windows/ RedHat Systems Engineering or Admin roll is required. A sound understanding of network infrastructure is required. Two years experience in managing and administering Cloud services is a plus. Azure experience preferred. Working, proven knowledge of VMWare, Systems Administration, Windows server, Unix OS is imperative. Certifications in ITIL Service Management a plus Strong leadership qualities. The ability to make sound, logical decisions while upholding Tech Ops policies and procedures. Ability to empower and mentor team members. Ability to work, think and execute independently with confidence but also to know one s own boundaries and seek guidance as needed. Micro-management is not within the Global Tech Ops culture.
