IT Production Operations Analyst Job Description Job title IT Production Operations Analyst Department IT Production Operations Report To IT Production Operations Team Lead/ Manager Classification Non- Exempt Position Summary We are looking for bright and energetic individuals to be a part of our Production Operations team This is a great opportunity for those who are hungry for knowledge, willing to learn new tools and who has can- do attitude. Essential Functions Support all aspects of Production Operations and specifically Infrastruc ture Monitoring. Proactively monitor all client and employee facing applications and services. Participate in release deployment and outage response process es when needed Create and operationalize monitoring SOPs and participate in periodic SOP reviews. Perform system health checks and maintain reports and communication for these checks. Create weekly ana lysis reports on alert history, trend analysis and problem detection Perform basic resolution steps, configuration adjustment as and when needed Perform root cause analysis for critical and high impact incidents/ events. Education and Experience General: Bachelor s degree in an IT related field 1- 3 years of experience in production operations and monitoring roles and/ or application support role. Must: Flexibility to work in rotational shifts covering 24 x 5 operations Excellent communication skills (specifically written is a must) Expert knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint and Strong documentation skills Understanding of Windows and Linux OS platforms Experience with diagnostic and monitoring tools such as Solarinds, Nagios Putty, WinDirStat, etc. Ability to investigate issues outside of defined SOPs Familiarity with Service Desk platforms (i.e. JIRA/ Confluence, Service Now etc.) Big Plus: Technical writing experience DevOps or ITIL exposure Exposure to Linux/ Unix Scripting, SAS, SFTP and Hadoop technology Familiarity with Healthcare industry and Health insurance industry. Familiarity with SQL Server 2008 r2 / 2012/ 2014 environment Experience working closely with technical teams (i.e. evelopers, Sys Admins, DBAs etc.) Microsoft certification (preferred disciplines Server and Networking, Databases),
