In this role, you will be joining our Finance Technology team within the Operations Finance & Transformation function. We are catalysts for change -- driving efficiencies, enabling innovation, and developing solutions to help our Eaton finance function deliver critical insights to our operations. As a member of the Finance Technology team, you will be embedded within our finance function to drive increased usage of modern technologies that will complement and enhance our existing financial systems landscape.Eaton is on a multi-year finance functional transformation journey to provide our finance teams with the tools required to do their best and most fulfilling work. Your role on this team will be to figure out how to optimize Eaton s existing technology while also identifying modern technology and architecting innovative solutions. Looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact in a world-class finance organization This is it.The Lead Analyst Finance Technology & Transformation is responsible for leading the implementation of small and medium sized finance technology projects. The incumbent will design, configure, and implement finance technology with the occassional support of 3rd party consultants, IT couterparts, and teammates. The Lead Analyst Finance Technology & Transformation cultivates innovation and experimentation. The incumbent will work with advanced solutioning techniques and leverage predictive analytics, machine learning, and other more cuttng edge innovation including leveraging low code/no code technology.This position will partner closely with finance stakeholders to understand their technical needs, develop solutions, build reporting analytics and coordinate with data analysts/developers to implement identifed technology. The incumbent will perform as the functional designer to implement solutions for medium complexity requirements. The incumbent will develop user interface standards and implements the overall look and feel of the finance technology product.Lead Analyst Finance Technology & Transformation responsibilities:Executes project scoping and prepares compelling business cases.Responsible for requirements elicitation, requirements analysis and validation, testing scenarios and script development, solution design, and leading user acceptance testing for small and medium complexity projects.Completes functional specifications and configuration; leads testing material preparation, unit testing, user acceptance testing events, production cutover, and warranty support.Prepare end-user training materials and leads training.Leads projects and implementations of solutions with occassional support of others.Implements low/no-code automations for small to medium size projects.Audits small to medium complexity financial processes and makes recommendations for improvements via technology, automation, or standardization.Develops user interface standards and implements overall look and feel of the finance technology product.Responsible for intermediate level technology solutions and system configurationsAble to understand and drive regional and divisional solutionsSupports end-to-end processes and has a strong level understanding of system touch points.Is responsible for the user interface standards and implements overall look and feel of the finance technology products.The ideal candidate:Drives innovation and experimentationCan explain complex system issues and decision points using common business languageIs committed to building, managing, and inspiring talentPossesses strong leadership and ability to balance multiple priorities, processes, timelines, and expectationsHas a track record of solving sophisticated problems through data and analytics, including insights that are logical, data driven, simple to understand and aligned to business goalsCan build and maintain positive relationships with diverse business team members and partnersHas excellent communication and presentation skills to a broad range of audiencesHas knowledge of operations finance, accounting, supply chain, and sales and marketing and how they interactDrives a culture toward continuous learningExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Has intermediate level financial acumenIs an effective problem solverHas strong data literacyQualificationsBasic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 4 years relevant work experience (finance, data, IT, or reporting analytics)
• High-level skill in Excel required
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in a global matrixed business environment preferred
• Intermediate level of financial functional expertise
• ERP hands on experience with SAP (ECC or S4), Oracle R12, Mfgpro, Mapics, etc.
• Intermediate level of experience with Power BI (Business Intelligence), Power Apps, SAP BW (Business Warehouse), OBIEE, Tableau, Qlik, Dataiku, or Alteryx
• Strong knowledge of Agile
