The Digital Wallet ecosystem is one such solution that aims at providing national-level digital wallet solutions to help economies leapfrog into the Digital-first FinTech world. The Digital Wallet solution connects the banks, merchants, consumers and government all together to provide a cashless Digital and Mobile-first Wallet and Payment processing solution. The product is in early stages and we went live in our first market in Q3 2020. 2021 is the year to further build out the product capability suite, provide value-added services leveraging various existing Mastercard products and enter new markets.We are a 100+ strong team with a varied skill set across Java, Angular, iOS and Android technology stacks and operate in an agile model with cross-functional teams working on delivering business capabilities and technology advancement using the SAFe framework.RoleWe are looking at a Lead Engineer to provide technical and engineering leadership across architecture and design of the product as well as driving the adoption of DevOps methodologies and a move to a Cloud-ready Digital-first architecture.The core areas that we are looking at are expertise in Java and experience in helping migrate and build Cloud-ready solutions. Experience in implementing DevOps tooling and practices is a must.All About You* Architecture and Design (40%) * Lead the architecture and design activities for various functional modules within the product * Work closely with the Product team to identify industry solutions and options to improve product capability and experience * Drive the adoption of the 12-factor model and domain-driven design* Engineering & DevOps (40%) * Help teams with hands-on support * Own and deliver key functional and technical capabilities * Drive the adoption of DevOps tooling and principles - APM, CI/CD, Release Engineering * Lead the adoption of public cloud capabilities within the program * Lead the definition and implementation of NFRs* Mentoring and Coaching (20%) * Guide and coach the engineers on engineering principles and cloud-native methodologiesYour Skills* Experience in building FinTech solutions - preferably Cloud-ready solutions complying to DDD and 12-factor concepts* Expertise in solution architecture, preferably also including mobile architecture* Experience in IAM and Cryptography considerations* Hands-on Java developer, experience working on CI/CD and release engineering principles Most important, technical skills are ever evolving.
