Job Description

    • The primary function of this position is to lead, shape, and maintain DtV/VAVE process for NPI/NPD projects by working closely with various Eaton business groups as part Direct Material Productivity (DMP) team.
    • The applicant is supposed to lead key DtV/VAVE strategic initiatives for immediate/short- & long-term growth portfolio of DtV/VAVE at DMP.
    • Responsible for the Leading, Supervising and coordinating of the process discipline across engineering design activities for a large Projects
    • This involves close collaboration with various Eaton business group divisions and Global Procurement Organization
    • The applicant will provide a strong technical mentorship to skilled DtV/VAVE engineers, an unwavering focus on driving outcomes for the internal customers, excellent project management skills, communication & presentation skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must have strong experience is defining and standardizing DtV/VAVE process.
    • Must have worked as lead engineer on multiple NPI/NPD projects and have completed the full product life cycle.
    • The applicant needs to have an in-depth knowledge of requirements electrical products functionality, design, application including duty cycle attributes.
    QualificationsRequirement:
    • BE/Btech/ME/Mtech in Mechanical/Electrical/ Electronics
    • 10+ years experience in industry in leading strategic portfolio for VAVE/cost out.
    • Application and Product knowledge of Electrical products. Cost out portfolio building and execution.
    • Hands on experience in Value Engineering principles & its deployment
    • Working in global business environment, Drive for results. Influencing without authority. Strategic Planning.
    • Experience in Identifying cost out opportunities in different products and systems through benchmarking, teardown, competitor analysis, functionality analysis (FAST, FCW etc.).
    • Execute the enterprise-wide strategic projects for various electrical products working with global business stakeholders
    • Past experience in design and development of various electrical products and services is a must.
    • Ability to provide strong technical mentorship to skilled engineers, an unwavering focus on driving outcomes for the customer, excellent project management skills, communication & presentation skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
    • Hands on experience on complete NPI/NPD cycle is a MUST.
    • Being a technical process leader in the DtV team, collaborate with other technology groups within Eaton and enable organic growth.
    • Drive DtV-EBS process integration.
    • Drive culture of Continuous Improvement and drive productivity projects through DFSS, DMAIC, Lean and Automation.
