The main responsibility of this position is to support, implement, enhanceand improve our EDI processes inside the Global Emerson Fluid & MotionControl organization.We are looking for an individual with strong technical knowledge in the EDIfield and the ability to translate that to operational improvements in a vendormanaged environment, ideally with ITIL knowledge and business knowledge withinlogistics operations.Organizational Position:Should be able to work from 12:00PM to 8:30PM every week day.Responsibilities:This position reportsfunctionally to the Team lead in Pune, part of the Global Technology Services TeamYou will be responsibleto manage & support our Babelway & WinEDI EDI platform as well as somelegacy EDI technologies we use. Your natural overview enables you to manage themany processes in this challenging global and complex environment. Yourcommunication and people skills as well as your Can Do attitude willcontribute to the positive atmosphere in the teamDevelopment and Maintenance of operational EDIinterfacesProvide consultancy as a subject matter expert tointernal stakeholders and other application management teams.Work closely with our Business Data & Intelligenceteam to ensure proper identification of requirements, implementation androllout of the interfaces.Support global EDI trading partners connecting them toour managed service platform, through X.400, AS2, VAN, FTP, SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS,SOAP, EDIFACT etc.Work closely with the vendors to ensure properdelivery of planned enhancements within delivery dates and with the agreedlevels of quality.Giving guidance to ourCorporate Oracle Fusion Middleware team for IntraCompany order routing.Establish and follow anappropriate stage- gate style process for new projects. Track and maintainappropriate project and routine activity metrics.Establish and maintaina high level of accuracy during routine and project activities.Other activities asrequired to achieve defined job objectives.*Skill Requirements:Bachelors Degree or equivalent experienceAt least 6 to 10 years years of hands on workingexperience with modern EDI (cloud based) technology/ platforms. A willingnessto learn is criticalHands on experience with Microsoft SQL server is amustPractical experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware isa big advantage.Experience within the EDI area and trading hubs is anadvantages as wellAbility to define customer requirements and translatethem into working EDI interfaces.Ability to analyze, critical reasoning, problemssolving skills and a focus on details of the operation.Good understanding of IT operational processes andstructured in ways of working.Understanding business processes in a manufacturingorganization using global cross functional resources is a benefit, as this ishow we operate.Understandingand knowledge of computer systems and programming methods is a benefit,especially on the following languages/ applications :Windows 7, MS Office, SQL Server 2005/ 2008, XMLHavingknowledge of Oracle & Microsoft SQL is a strong benefit.Strong interpersonal and project management skills, abilityto work with and direct others in a team environment. English fluency in bothverbal and writing is a requirement.Good organizational and troubleshooting skills. Goodtime- management and self starter skills are also desirable.,
