Lead Software Development engineer in Test OverviewPrepaid Services is the division of MasterCard that concentrates on Prepaid Solutions such as our Multi-Currency Cash Passport product. Traditionally focused on the Travel sector this business unit is driving forward Prepaid throughout the world with innovative and leading solutions that we integrate with Global brands. As part of the Test and Quality Assurance function, the incumbent will be responsible for the over-all test strategy to deliver E2E projects. Working closely with the wider prepaid teams such as product, development and systems analysis the manager will be expected to drive the strategy to implement the integration test framework with the support our Quality team and test architects.The Lead will be responsible for assuring overall quality of development work and ensuring that testing covers the end to end solution, working on regression and integration suites to increase the test coverage available per test cycle and promoting Best practices to increase testing effectiveness.The role will involve working to strict deadlines within an agile development environment. tHave you worked in application testing in a fast paced Agile environment tAre you passionate about quality tCan you provide innovative ideas and ensure continuous improvement as part of day to day work tDo you possess a high level of expertise in test automation tools such as Jira, Selenium Role Summary The Lead will be responsible for creating and implementing the E2E Test strategy for large projects, initially a large 2 year migration project, they will work across all of the prepaid functions ensuring that all teams who deliver testing are considered in the strategy and that they deliver to a high quality. They will ensure that testing covers the end to end solution from the initial design phase right through to production, working on regression, integration & performance suites to increase the test coverage available per test cycle and promoting Best practices to increase testing effectiveness.Key Responsibilities tDelivery of testing as per agreed timescale tDrive quality engineering, exploratory testing, and test automation covering all key practice areas tCreate, maintain and enhance Test automation coverage and effectiveness tIdentify and resolve any dependencies early so that team can concentrate on delivery tDefect triage and management tDocument test strategies and test plans; translating complex system requirements and associated specifications into test requirements and testing methods tAct as first-review for project-level reviews, walkthroughs and inspections tOwnership of documentation, ensure knowledge and information is not lost tIdentify bottlenecks in time-to-market; create and implement improvement efforts tIdentify areas of improvements, introduce and champion best practice (continuous improvement) tOversee QA standards, processes, tools and methodologies; partner with other functions to communicate testing requirements tRepresent Integration testing as part of the O&T extended leadership team tFormally supervises, coach, and develop a work group/team tEnsures own team(s) compliance to goal setting and performance appraisal processesKey Skills and ExperienceRequired tSuccessfully led small to large-scale software testing across multiple technologies and groups tExperience gathering and relationship building with internal/external teams and clients tStrong understanding of Agile development lifecycle tDemonstrated expertise in reviewing BDD/TDD practices, analyses, test frameworks, and management tools tExperience leading cross-browser and cross-device testing strategies tStrong organizational and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail, critical thinking. tSolid oral and written communication skills tAble to mentor peers and guide less experienced Team membersDesirable tExposure to continuous integration and delivery concepts tFinancial services experience tExposure to working with databases (PL/SQL, SQL Server, Oracle)Due to COVID-19, most of our employees are working from home.
