Northern Trust is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join the Treasury IT team in Pune/India. This individual as part of an Agile development team, will be responsible for analysis, design and development of user interface and web services components that meet business and technical requirements. This individual will also be responsible for supporting 3 rd party applications such as Summit, TPG and Quantitative Risk Management (QRM) used by the Treasury business. Major Duties
• Design and develop user interface components based on screen design documents that fit within technical framework as outlined by technical architects
• Ensure code meets standards and tested appropriate to the platform
• Provide technical guidance to the development team
• Communicate status (written and verbal) to project team and management
• Work with management on setting strategic priorities and direction for the teams reporting to self. Think outside the box capabilities
• Provide guidance and direction to teams on technologies and the right way of doing things.
• Responsible for the performance management of the staff reporting to self.
• Ensures adherence to organizational policies, guidelines and processes
• Maintains risk management and compliance programs and activities for their assigned group.

Required Skills:
• Agile Methodology
• Strong database skills - SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle.
• ETL Tools experience
• BI Tools experience
• 3 rd party vended solutions implementation and integration
• Experience with Unix and Windows Server platforms
• React JS / latest UI Technologies
• Experience in Spring Frameworks and Spring Boot
• Knowledge in Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC)
• Experience with continuous integration tools like Maven, Bamboo, TFS or Gradle
• Experience in REST API Development experience.
• Financial Domain experience, especially Treasury business and the post-trade execution lifecycle as well as an understanding of Fixed Income, Derivatives ( OTC), Repos/Treasury Assets, FX and other standard instruments.
Preferred/ Recommended:
• Junit The de-facto standard for unit testing Java applications.
• Spring Test & Spring Boot Test Utilities and integration test support for Spring Boot applications.
• Knowledge PCF or Azure is an added advantage
• Knowledge of 3 rd party products like Summit, TPG and/or QRM is a huge plus.
Experience
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Overall 10+ Years of Industry experience
• Experience in agile development methodology
• Prior people management/mentoring experience
