Job Description

    Responsible for application maintenance and support, evaluates and makes recommendation on techniques, practices, or technologies that would enhance business needs, also does work to ensure continuous process improvements. The individual needs to have a good understanding of application topography and the ability to collaborate between all parties involved to maintain a stable application environment.Application Support Engineer must be able to effectively support applications in web development frameworks, DevSecOps, serverless computing/architecture and cloud technologies Candidate should have strong background in Java/react.js, Spring boot, Spring Framework, SQL/NoSQL databasesMajor Duties:1. Monitor and troubleshoot application issues in production2. Leads troubleshooting, analysis, and solution of unexpected systems behaviors that impact the quality of service3. Liaise with stakeholders (tech and business) in problem resolution4. Communicate issue/resolution status (written and verbal) to project team and management5. Minor production bug fixes6. Disaster Recovery and Patch testing 7. Access review/Audit activity8. Work with senior staff and management on service delivery improvementsKnowledge/Skills: Strong development/support expectance in Java/React.js, microservices, Spring boot, Spring Framework, SQL/NoSQL databases Understanding of enterprise architecture patterns and best practices Azure DevOps/Control-M/ServiceNow Knowledge of monitoring tools Excellent oral and written communication skills are required Highly flexible and adaptable to change Analytical and problem solving skills A positive goal orientated attitude with a focus on service delivery Strong interest in working with business teams on issue resolutionExperience Required:A College or University degree and/or relevant 2-9 years proven work experience.
