Design new lighting products and systems, various componentsKey product types include indoor and outdoor luminaires for use in modern workspaces, retail, industry, street/floodlights, etc.Work with industrial designers on mechanical design to convert concepts in to realityCreate 3D models, assemblies, drawings and design documents. Perform tolerance analysis and ensure design for manufacturabilityB.Tech/BE: Mechanical Engineering from accredited universityAt least 2 years engineering experience with B.Tech degree orAt least 5 years engineering experience with Diploma degreeExperience with demonstrated capabilities in 3D CAD design and tolerance analysis.Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication, casting and plastic injection processes.Desired skills and qualitiesWoking knowledge of 3D CAD, Solid Edge / Solid Works preferredProactive, innovative, energetic, result oriented outstanding team player with goodcommunications and influential skills.Experience and ability to meet aggressive reliability, manufacturability, performance, cost,serviceability, and delivery targets.Ability to develop unique concepts/solutions for complex products and attention to detail andability work independently toward timely completion of projectsHands on experience on shop floor will be an added advantageDemonstrated experience in building engineering prototypes and conducting design validation tests
