We are delighted at the prospect of seeing your resume on job portal and we are equally delighted to send you this email confirming that your profile has been shortlisted for a role with us.Infosys-BPM is hiring for Linux and Windows Administrator with VMware Technology.Work experience: Minimum 2 Years relevant experience.Designation: Technical Process Specialist.Skill 1: Linux Administrator / Windows Administrator with VMware Administrator.Knowledge required of Technologies:

  • ITIL Certification/knowledge (Incident/Change/Problem Management)
  • Working knowledge of Linux Administrations (3+ Years)
  • Strong Linux administration (Red Hat and Ubuntu) with experience in virtualization environment.
  • Expertise on file system management (Linux LVM , VXFS, QFS, CFS, UFS, ZFS).
  • Good to handle infrastructure troubleshooting skills by remotely.
  • Hands on experience on Linux and Solaris OS Patching/software upgrades / Perform Hypervisor / Firmware upgrades.
  • Knowledge on HP-UX, Solaris flavors will be an advantage.
  • Experience on Migration and upgrading of production servers.
  • Perform OS Hardening (One time/Less re-occurring) activities.
  • Experience on emergency activities (critical Patch update / Virus/Incidents / Vulnerability fixing).
  • Good communication skills to handle client /internal calls
  • Based on the alert taking pro-active measures to avoid severity incident
  • Working on Change Records Problem Management and priority Incidents
  • Excellent working knowledge on the virtualization technology VMWare/Oracle Virtual Machine.
  • Manage and Maintain ESXI host and vCenter
  • Knowledge on HA, DRS, FT, vMotion, VM cloning, Template, Snapshot, Switches
  • Performing VMware tools upgrades and Hardware versions
  • Upgrading virtual server like RAM, HDD & CPU.
Skill 2: Windows Administrator with VMware Administrator.Knowledge required of Technologies:
  • ITIL Certification/knowledge (Incident/Change/Problem Management).
  • Working knowledge of Windows/VMware Administrations (4+ Years).
  • Windows Server 2008/2012 Installation, Performance Monitoring, Maintenance & Configuration.
  • Hands-on experience on Microsoft cluster and Hyper V.
  • Perform Security Health Check of Windows servers and other compliance.
  • Support to all BAU calls. Daily BAU L2/L3 Calls Support on Windows 2003, 2008 and 2012 Server Family infrastructure.
  • Windows OS & AD Incident/Production Management.
  • Handling Active Directory and account related problems.
  • Based on the alert taking pro-active measures to avoid severity incident.
  • Working on Change Records Problem Management and priority Incidents.
  • Manage and Maintain ESXI host and vCenter.
  • Knowledge on HA, DRS, FT, vMotion, VM cloning, Template, Snapshot, Switches.
  • Performing VMware tools upgrades and Hardware versions.
  • Upgrading virtual server like RAM, HDD & CPU.
  • Understanding of Backup Tools Commvault and NetBackup.
A good technical and operational understanding of the administrator kind of role with working knowledge of high/medium/low severity level 3 ticket handling.By the completion of Process training, FTEs are expected to be or have:Trained on systems and tools, including: iTAMTrained on incident Management;
  • Change/Problem/PKE (Problem Known Error) management
  • Common Cause Incident Analysis (CCIA);
  • Closed Incident Docket Analysis (CIDA).
Excellent oral and written communications skills;
  • Excellent comprehension of English;
  • Demonstrated analytical approach to problem solving;
  • 25 years of experience of relevant knowledge and skills

  • 24/7 Support.
  • Flexibility in working hours.
