Job Description

Expert for numerical modeling and simulation (m/f/d)Would you like to contribute your creativity and ideas and help to set the course for a furthermore successful future of BHS Corrugated as part of the R&D team Take the opportunity and shape the future of the world market leader for corrugators, by analyzing, modeling and simulating complex, physical systems. Help us in the interpretation of the influencing factors in the energy and material flow of the entire corrugator production process.Manifest your footprint at a hidden champion as an Expert for numerical modeling and simulation (m/f/d).Together with you, we would like to solve the challenges in the field of virtual setup up and machine development. To achieve this, the various production steps, ranging from paper bonding and electrical drives to product logistics, are to be combined to form an overall system simulation.Be a part of it and shape it!Your future tasks will include

  • Creating physical simulation models with mechanical, hydraulic, thermal, electrical and electronic components
  • Formulation and solution of differential equations as well as the implementation of these in numerical evaluation and optimization procedures
  • Development and implementation of meaningful physical component interfaces in cooperation with our System Engineers
  • Creation of a model library for integration into a real-time simulation environment
  • Assignment and management of simulations tasks at external partners
  • Execution of consistency checks of the model components as well as responsibility for plausibility checks of simulation components
  • Evaluation and purchase of tools
Your professional and personal profile
  • Successfully completed degree in mathematics, physics, systems engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or aerospace, preferably also with a PhD
  • Longterm professional experience in mathematical modeling and simulation of multiphysical systems
  • Good knowledge in at least two of the following disciplines: control engineering, mechanics, heat and mass transfer, drive engineering, electronics
  • Advanced skills in data evaluation and interpretation
  • Good understanding of systems engineering methodology is an advantage
  • Knowledge in creating specifications, statistical evaluations and the Six Sigma method
  • Independence, high self-motivation and communication skills
  • Good english knowledge
