Job Description

    Job summaryTitle: Area Manager, Change Operations; Designation: Manager I, OperationsJob summaryWe seek an Area Manager to join our fulfilment network. The candidate will be self-motivated with the right combination of leadership skills and professional business sense. The candidate shall be responsible for driving process stabilization, standardization and continuous improvement for the site. Their primary responsibilities include driving the site s quality and operational excellence initiatives. Additionally, the incumbent shall be working in close coordination with Ops/ Integration team and implement network level changes at FC level. They would also be leading the site Operations in absence of Site LeaderKey job responsibilitiesa) Drives quality, process change and Lean-six sigma initiatives at site to exceed Business Planb) Drives Training, Audits and program implementation at the sitec) Changes gear to Operations leader for in absence of site leadd) Delivers Quality and Concessions projects at sitee) Leads a team of TLs, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations and building leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center. f) Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Team leads accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments. g) Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the network.Alongside positive leadership, the ideal Area Manager keeps the bigger picture goals in mind: You ll need to safeguard your team s safety while at work You ll uphold Amazon s high standards of quality You ll demonstrate problem-solving and analytical capabilities And, last but not least: you ll strive to improve and streamline processesBASIC QUALIFICATIONSa) Bachelor s Degree in STEM from a reputed university, Operations or related field. b) 2-3 years Operations Management/ process excellence experience in manufacturing, production or distribution environmentc) Must be flexible to work any shift 7 days/24 hours including Holidaysd) Basic/Working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques preferred. Excel skills required.
