Job Description

    bluCognition: Commercial Underwriting - Manager The Role : You will be leading the commercial underwriting function in the company and will be responsible to build and manage a team of commercial underwriters across multiple clients. Responsibilities : 1. End to end responsibility of the building and managing the commercial underwriting team across multiple clients, most of which are US based.2. Responsibilities includes, but not limited to:a. End to end process ownership for each client. This requires understanding and setting up the entire process of data exchange and spreading of the financials.b. Develop and maintain detailed MIS to track the effectiveness and SLAs of the team.c. Have regular calls with the clients and advise them of any optimization opportunities.3. Ad-hoc review of the financial spreading done by the team, for accuracy and correctness and train and coach the team as required.4. You will be the key point of contact for the clients and will also take ownership of on-boarding of new clients. Experience : 1. Minimum 7 year experience in the commercial underwriting function of a large corporation, with 3 years team leading experience.2. Expertise in reviewing audited and unaudited financial documents of companies of different sizes (small, medium, and large listed and unlisted corporations).3. Solid understanding of off balance sheet items and how they should be treated to evaluate the credit risk of the customers.4. Familiarity with IFRS & US GAAP accounting principles. Qualification & Skills : 1. Postgraduate in finance or related field such as CA, Inter CA, ICWA, Master of Commerce. 2. High level of proficiency in MS excel and expertise in creating complex formulas and pivot tables.,
