Job Description

Roles and ResponsibilitiesPosition: Manager Container DepotDIRECT REPORTING TO: VP OperationsLocation: Dighi, PuneFUNCTIONAL AREA: Public bonded warehousesOrganization: A pioneer in third party logistics in India, also one of the leading businesses in the B2B Import export.Job Purpose: To effectively participate in execution of supply chain functions with team of Indian Customs by facilitating smooth clearance & physical movements of goods, reconciliation of invoices, quality check of stockroom materials before dispatch including Stakeholder management in a matrix environment.Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely renewal of licenses, bonds and requisite compliances.
  • Manage all aspects of depot operations relating to our ICD matching customer requirements, management direction and following safe working practices.
  • Participate in planning and implementing the overall Supply Chain Strategy to ensure favorable results for the company.
  • Aid in formulating and preparing documents & reports for Top Management.
  • Focus on meticulous planning towards ensuring daily cargo load is handled aptly i.e both sea and air cargo.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations and Customer Service team for timely mitigation of existing glitches & bottlenecks ensuring long term survival and growth.
  • Suggest solutions for process improvement at various departments across the organization & work towards their completion in a timely manner.
  • Ensure strategic allocation of operational staff; maximize equipment availability and effectiveness.
  • Coordinating with professionals towards implementation of new systems & changes as and when required.
  • Help foster strong relationships with business partners & assist in maintaining ongoing relationship thereby ensuring retention.
  • Build and maintain good relationship with internal stakeholders as well as a strong partnership with external suppliers and vendors.
  • Maximize productivity and customer service levels through effective use of resources.
  • Ensure pleasant, sociable and positive culture companywide, including adherence to legal compliances.
  • Participate in training the employees for a continual improvement of skills and personality.
Desired Candidate ProfileEDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
  • Graduate
  • In-depth knowledge of SCM & Logistics industry.
  • Must have good communications skills (oral, written and
  • presentation).
  • Must be proficient in standard Microsoft office.
WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in same field
RELEVANT SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of functioning.
  • Must be able to maintain effective working relationship with associates, managers along with outside business partners.
