Job Description

We are looking forward Manager - Continuous Improvement based in Pune, India. This exciting role offers opportunity to:

  • Coordinates and establishes Eaton s Business System Pull priorities and annual CI Plans for the plant with the involvement of the division OPS Director and plant leadership team.
  • Coordinates and executes VSMs in the plant to identify best strategies to reduce the non-value-added activities in the plant value streams.
  • Ensures annual self-assessments are completed at plant to include but not limited to ELSS, OpA, as well as formal assessments when required. These assessments must identify gaps driving maturity levels, annual action plans to improve and include a process to monitor progress.
  • Monitors performance and CI plans for the plant, participate in regular reviews and recommend opportunities for improvement as necessary.
  • Mentors, coaches and challenges site leadership teams in the integration and use of ELSS methodology to include but not limited to Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF), High Performance Work Teams (HPWT), ELSS Tools, Rapid Improvement Events/Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma Projects, as well as the business Lean Tool Certification Program.
  • Leads process improvements teams including Rapid Improvement Events/Kaizen, as necessary, and directs timely completion of projects that meet top Corporate, Industrial Sector, Vehicle Group priorities.
  • Acts as an instructor & Mentor for various ELSS training programs which include EBS Pull, specific ELSS tools, Lean training & certification, Six Sigma Greenbelt training & certification, CI for Front Line Leaders.
  • Supports, as needed, Corporate, Industrial Sector, Vehicle Group initiatives to include special projects or councils.
  • Participate in Global / Regional CI councils in order to: a) Identify, share and leverage best practices b) Build a network of subject matter experts using the business Lean Tool Certification program, and c) Collaborate and solve common problems faced in the Supply Chain.
  • Builds Organizational Capability by hiring and developing CI leaders, participate in annual development plans and provide input on organization capability/succession planning sessions.
QualificationsRequirement:
  • Bachelor s Degree in engineering from an accredited institution required
  • 12+ years of experience in Quality/Continuous Improvement in high mix low volume
  • Experience in assignments within Operations with a track record of success
  • Prior work experience in different functions is preferred to ensure this CI Manager sees the linkages between functions, impact of functional decisions downstream and how multiple functions work within a value stream
  • Strong interpersonal and planning skills with proven ability to lead change through both direct and indirect (influencing) abilities
  • Can effectively and comfortably speak to different levels of the organization; senior leaders to the factory floor
  • Fluent English
