Roles and responsibilities Provide vision and leadership for existing and emerging product and application technologies through an understanding of customer and business needsManage a team of 15 20 engineersCultivate sustained innovation to deliver exceptional products to customersProvide project management, technical direction and guidance for all product developmentEnsure the optimal application of current technology, engineering resources, outsourced design services and project contractors to meet product development and/ or customer requirementsEnsure product requirements are properly documented and understood by all stake holders early in the developmentEnsure timely and top quality product deliveryEnsure that the end product is fully and correctly defined and documentedEnsure implementation/ continuous improvement of formal processes to support product development activitiesDrive the architecture/ design decisions needed to achieve cost effective and high performance resultsProvide guidance to the team for technical escalations for escalations that come to the engineeringOversee, coordinate and manage multiple product development projectsFoster engineering s best practices for the development of high quality productsRecruit, motivate and empower employees, assign and direct their activities.Required Skills: The willingness and experience to work hands on is most important for this roleCandidates should have worked on at least one of the following domains as his main job for a continuous period of 2 years in the past 4 years online advertising, data analytics, e commerce, Web 2.0, Web Services, Scalability/ performance, etc.Candidates should have experience in working on one or more of the following scalable web applications, high performance applications, ad optimization and auctioning, Web 2.0, algorithms and Web Services.Experience in handling engineering escalations from customers will be preferredDemonstrated ability to motivate and innovate, excellent team building and leadership skillsAble to communicate clearly and effectively with all levelsStrong operational and project management skills in a product development environmentBachelors or Master s Degree in EngineeringRecent experience in working with Start ups is highly preferred.The candidate should have an understanding of the Online Advertising Industry, a passion for technology and the drive and ownership to work in a start up environment. The candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on teamwork, ownership, initiative and integrity. High energy and must enjoy working in a fast paced environment and be flexible to react to changing priorities and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a deadline oriented environment is also critical.,
