Job Description

*DescriptionThe incumbent will be responsible for a full range of tax (both direct and indirect) services, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations within the prescribed timeframes, identifying tax risks, managing tax provisions and overseeing a range of accounting and analytical areas. You will also be responsible for managing the treasury function. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accounting of tax entries in India and US ledgers
  • Responsible for managing back charges and maintaining data
  • Report tax for US GAAP on quarterly basis
  • Reconciliation between tax return to provision
  • Calculate advance tax and review Withholding Taxes and tax collected at source, payments and returns
  • Responsible for tax audits, tax return preparation and filing
  • Review amendments / changes in tax law and keep management informed on impact to business / compliance requirements
  • Responsible GST related compliances and audits (Statutory audit, US GAAP audit, FCPA audit)
  • Responsible for handling direct and indirect tax litigation which involves extensive interaction with consultants, drafting/reviewing submissions and appearing before the authorities
  • Ensure appropriate transfer pricing compliances are in place and coordinate / support consultants on transfer pricing matters
  • Analyze the monthly P&L, advise corrections and rectification
  • Analyze variances between forecasted and actual costs
  • Manage and review cash flows
  • Ensure compliance with internal treasury policies and procedures and review bank reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with applicable law in respect of foreign currency transactions

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant
  • 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing industry
  • Working experience in ERP environment (Oracle preferred)
  • Expert knowledge of MS office, especially Excel and Power-point
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have analytical ability and clarity of thought
  • Good team player
