Job Description

    • This position manages end to end finance function for the Sales & Marketing Center and the Corporate Marketing function.
    • The role works closely with the Business Head to provide with oversight and management of the owned budgets.
    • The incumbent will be responsible for accounting, month close process, balance sheet reconciliations, reporting and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, adherence to financial processes, internal controls, preparation of monthly review presentation for higher management, preparation of quarterly reports for business review, Monthly Tax compliance, support Statutory Audit, Intercompany reconciliation and Intercompany payments, Review and approving Monthly vendor invoices.
    • The role requires a demonstrated track record of success in working with diverse stakeholders. This role will also be responsible for reporting and presenting the critical and important finance observation to the SMC leadership team.
      • Key activities performed include:
      • Coordinating the booking and payment of invoices with the finance shared service center.
      • Coordinating the month close procedure for SMC and Corp Mktg budgets, Raising monthly export invoices for SMC support services
      • Work with Various Finance controllers across India for cost allocation and chargeback.
      • Work with SMC HR and the IT team to develop common policies for SMC in line with other Eaton policies. Participate in development and implementation of such policies.
      • To work closely with SMC head to put in place monthly review of Balance score card, to provide input for implementation of effective control process.
      • To coordinate with relevant Indirect and Direct tax matters with the India Tax manager with reference to the SMC organization like SEZ/STPI compliance, Transfer pricing audits etc. and provide timely update to the leadership team
      • To work on multiple cost out project for the SMC organization in India, this also includes driving and tracking the monthly cost out initiates.
      • Prepare audit schedules for SMC and support corporate finance in consolidation for annual statutory audit.
      • Establishing, monitoring and Controlling the SMC accounts payable process including coordinating the booking and payment of invoices through shared service center.
      • Coordinating the monthly GL close procedure for all SMC ledgers, Raising monthly sales invoices for SMC; capitalization of assets etc.
      • Work closely with the Corporate finance team on the various monthly submissions as per the statutory calendar including Balance Sheet Reconciliations, audit and tax compliances.
      • To work closely with SMC head and put in place monthly review of statutory compliances and Balance score card and other management reports providing insight on SMC finances and ensuring effective control process.
      • Lead preparation, collation, review and presentation of SMC and Corp Mktg annual budgets (profit plan) with in-depth analysis and insight.
      • To coordinate relevant indirect and Direct tax matters with the India Tax manager with reference to the SMC organization like SEZ/STPI compliance, Transfer pricing audits etc. and also provide timely update to SMC leadership team
      • Develop and implement a robust Internal control framework in line with Eaton ICPO guidance. Monitor and evaluate Design and Operating effectiveness of controls on periodic basis.
    QualificationsRequirement:
    • Accounting Degree (CA/CFA/ICWA/MBA)
    • 7-9 years of financial management experience
    • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, and local India accounting and tax practices
    • Conversant in all finance disciplines including accounting, Tax matters
    • Excellent analytical, written and oral English communication skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively across boundaries/business lines.
    • The role requires strong collaboration skills to coordinate with all CoE Heads within SMC as well as relevant stakeholders for the Corp Mktg budgets.
    • A high sense of financial acumen is required to anticipate financial impact of cost changes, including org structures, allocations and Fx on the future chargeback rates.
