Job Title :MANAGER NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENTPurpose :Implement the companys strategy for high growth through development & launch of new products on an on-going basis, in the field of Office Furniture Accessories & Computer Accessories.This is a key position reporting directly to the CEO.Prior Experience :Should have a minimum of 8 - 10 years hands on experience in a senior position in Product Development of industrial or consumer products & worked with materials like steel, aluminium & plastics.Candidate experienced at working with an Office furniture manufacturer or Furniture hardware manufacturer will be preferable.Department :NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENTPeer Info :Will be supported by Marketing, Production, Quality and Vendor teams. Should be able to work independently & guide subordinates well.- Should be able to actively participate in team brainstorming sessions, discussions- Should be able to work under critical timelines.- Should have a friendly but decisive nature- Must have zeal to keep growing to the next level Job Brief :The company is in its growth phase and launching of multiple new products is a very important strategy for this phase.We are therefore looking for an experienced& senior candidate who will drive this strategy & be responsible end to end for Development of New Products.The candidate shall be supported by other Team Members.The ideal candidate will have a strong Design Mindset.He will interact with Design Teams of Key Customers (e.g. Godrej, HNI, Wipro)He will have good knowledge of toolings, jigs & fixtures, manufacturing processes, materials & costings.Responsibilities :-- Interact with the market (clients & users) & internally (Top management & Marketing Team) to identify new products for development.- Also study what new innovations are happening globally (primarily USA & Europe) in the field of Office Accessories & Workplace Ergonomics.- Once decision is taken on which products to develop, start the design process by developing different ideas for each solution & product. Based on shortlist of options, make designs, renders & prototypes. Consider comparative costing.- Interact with key clients to get their ideas vis-a vis best options, features, etc.- Make final prototypes & drawings.- Coordinate with die & tool makers for making of toolings for the new products- Coordinate with vendors & job workers who will supply the components.- Make project plan of each product, organize all activities of the department according to it, to ensure product launch within timelines decided.- Timelines are mission critical- Will also be in charge of design & development of customisations of our products as per requirements of the customers.Regards,Manisha8411862129
