Dear Candidate,Greetings of the day!we have opening for Manager, QualityJob Summary / Purpose of PositionThe Quality Manager is a team member reporting to Divisional Manager, Drives in COT India. The position works in close co-ordination with Purchasing, Process Engineering, Design, Production and Facilities management functions. This job requires proven execution record in running a Quality organization in production shop that relies largely on procured parts in the assembly shop. This job requires proven technical ability in CMM management, production quality control, gear inspection, Supplier Quality management, Metallography and Customer feedback action management.Role and Responsibilities1. Lead the Quality team in production plant of Drives assembly & test operations.2. Act as Plant Quality Representative in all semi-government, government organizations.3. Work closely with Certifying agencies.4. Work with Sales to obtain customer certifications/approval.5. Work with Purchasing and Production teams to ensure a consistent quality of incoming material, manufacturing operations to get the best quality product output from the production shop.6. Develop Quality Plan for each part.7. Participate in Liebherr Supplier Evaluation & Selection Process LN 515.8. Understand and implement Supplier Strategy.9. Work in close co-operation with India Purchasing and manufacturing, purchase, quality and engineering people in European plant/COB to ensure the sharing of accurate information on time.10. Develop good working relationship with suppliers operating team to ensure that the Liebherr technical requirement, quality expectations and Quality systems are implemented smoothly and permanently.11. Monitor supplier performance using standardized Supplier Rating system.12. Develop in-house quality management processes in line with European plants. Measure and track quality performance at each stage of production and testing.Qualification and Education RequirementsBachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Production or similar). Green/Black belt in 6 Sigma desirable Knowledge of FMEA, Problem Solving tools, SQA process essential. CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or CQM.Experience At least 8-12 years experience in Quality organization in automotive/ancillary/engine/gear box manufacturing industry. Previous experience in working in gear manufacturing technology. Experience in material science and measuring equipment. Ability to lead a diverse team of about 15-20 persons.Preferred Skills / Special Skills Knowledge of tools such as PPAP, FMEA, 7 step Problem solving. Knowledge of use of special measuring instruments spectrometer, CMM, gear measurement machines, surface finish tester etc. desirable.Foreign LanguagesGood command over spoken and written English.Knowledge of German is preferred but not mandatory.Regards, HR Team
