Support production in ME related issues. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the site Manufacturing Engineering Team. Ensure that Manufacturing Engineering organization , staffing , and skill set are appropriate to achieve objectives and relevant site key performance indicators. Set , monitor , and manage individual performance targets and development plans. Communicate team capability within organization as appropriate including preparation and utilization of succession plans. Manage engineering deployment and activities to support objectives. Manage engineering activities for introduction of new products and processes. Coordinate the introduction of new manufacturing equipment and technology including justification , specification , approval , installation , and industrialization of capital equipment. Lead/ participate in risk assessment of installed production and support equipment and processes; Counter- measure as appropriate to minimize potential of intermediate and long- term disruptions. Maintain a working knowledge of current technology and industry trends in areas of responsibility. Interface with corporate Manufacturing Engineering , consult and advise on relevant technical subjects including RD , process feasibility , process capability , and process improvement. Ensure that Engineering tools , systems , and equipment are aligned with organization objectives. Optimize cell productivity through improvements in cycle time , uptime , and automation. Lead activities to assess and reduce tool and processing costs. Support Lean activities and related cost reduction initiatives. Manage cross homologation and change management. Maintain facility engineering documentation and change control system. Lead/ coordinate/ support quality improvement activities at site , regional and global levels within areas of responsibility. Engage/ interact with local , regional , and global stakeholders , including external customers , to ensure outcomes are effective , understood , agreed , and in accordance with expectations. Manage site execution of program launches for Driveline products or driveline systems to deliver targeted timing , quality , gross margin , ROIC product cost. Establish and sustain the site program management organization , including the core team. Ensure that all relevant information is reviewed and addressed by the core team , including program launch targets , specific customer requirements , product process deviations , and previous concern history relating to the customer and products to be launched. Where necessary , ensure that know- how transfer plans are defined , executed , and effective. Define comprehensive site program management project plan , including timing , to ensure alignment with customer vehicle development and APQP requirements. Lead tracking of product costs for design changes with the Account , Finance , and Purchasing Teams to ensure that detailed and accurate cost data is available when required. Ensure all concerns are addressed and resolved in acceptable timescales. Share any lessons learned through use of relevant databases. Conduct local program launch gateway reviews with appropriate levels of management. Ensure that all required site program information is maintained in I- SHARE database. Ensure adherence to Customer Application Programme Management Process (Driveline CAPM) , including the approval and rejection of deviations. If executing a stage D programme , ensure all relevant Driveline processes are adhered to. Ensure that a comprehensive site launch risk management plan is compiled maintained which incorporates previous concern history and other identified risks. Other duties as assigned by manager. Formal qualifications required: B.S. Degree in Engineering; Manufacturing Management; university degree; or equivalent. Previous experience required: Ten or more years of experience in manufacturing engineering environment with at least 5 years in supervision. At least 5 years of experience into Automotive industry (OEM , Tier1 or Tier2) Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrated leadership and team building skills Lean Enterprise experience. Computer Skills (MS Word , Excel , MS Project , MfgPro , Kronos) Good judgment , prioritization , negotiation , analytical , organizational , time management and problem resolution skills Experience in logistics or production planning is preferred , but not required,
