Job Description

  • Geomatic Engineer for the analysis and development of advanced digital solutions in the geomatic domain.
  • He/she will support the Pune Mapping developement team on geographic database, mapping rendering and he/she will work on the cartographic production chain.
  • Candidate must have have fair idea rearding spatial database and its structure.
  • Knowledge on Postgres/PostGIS, Python will be a benefit. GIS/Mapping skills will also come handy.

As an expert in Geomatic, he/she will focus on the development of Backend services for MAPPING Apps:

  • Mapping Geodata services
  • Resolving issues with data or process
  • Proactive in finding out solutions and be curious about new technologies
  • Help database developer to resolve the issue and be a liaison between different teams
Skills Required:
  • Good knowledge in Mapping domain (Mandatory)
  • Knowledge in Navigation field is a benefit
  • Basic database administration. SQL, ideally PostgreSQL/PostGIS (Mandatory)
  • Development knowledge in Python for Manipulation of geospatial data
  • Hands on knowledge on ArcGIS, QGIS (Mandatory)
  • Development knowledge on FME Desktop
  • General knowledge of Linux
  • Familiarity with source code management (SVN, git )
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure principles (containers, automated deployment, etc.) (Optional)
