Job Description

  • Reporting to the Market Risk Technology India Head, Data Mart Dev Manager will be accountable for both execution and communication of the development activities across ETL stream, supporting the regulatory and other business defined function within RFT.
  • With a heavy emphasis on both technical and communication skills, this senior developer will be expected to work closely with the developers and Business Analysts to deliver robust design and technical solutions in a controlled, transparent and actively risk managed fashion. Primary responsibilities of the candidate will cover, but not limited to:
  • Responsible for delivery of Market Risk Data Mart Technical platform from India
  • Act as subject matter expert in Market Risk business domain and drive the requirements
  • Responsible for ensuring that end to end process is aligned in the migration activity. Additional responsibility of enabling DevOps adoption in new infrastructure.
  • Work with the junior developers to recommend good design, coding and implementation practices.
  • Responsible for comprehensive test case coverage is implemented for all code modifications to ensure expected accuracy and performance results are achieved.
  • Drive innovation through good understanding of data, business drivers and business need.
  • Packaging up codes for release into production and on implementation of releases, provide training to support team members
  • Communicate effectively with the other external IT development teams and the local development manager.
  • What will you be doing
  • Accountability, Decision making and problem solving.
  • Responsible for India delivery of Market Risk Data Mart platform, including team build out and management of the day to day activities like estimation, planning, tracking, managing design, build, unit test, support test phases, release and post production support.
  • Work with the RFT project development team globally and escalate any technical issues, roadblocks or project risks to the Program Delivery Lead
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise on Market Risk
  • Work with the technology teams and take responsibility for the timely implementation of the solution.
  • Writing/making sure technical design documents adhering to predefined standards.
  • Stakeholder management and leadership - Communication Responsibilities
  • Communicate directly with business analysts and project managers, understanding detailed business requirements at all stages of the development lifecycle
  • Communicate effectively with the internal IT development teams and the local development manager.
  • Work closely with global development team members participating in and contributing to technical discussions. Participate and contribute in technical discussions
  • Influence strategy and ensure progress is communicated to senior level stakeholders
  • What we re looking for:
  • Expert in Market Risk Business domain and understanding of various stages of calculations and data
  • Highly Regulated Financial Industry experience
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies as well as SDLC life-cycles and processes
  • Ability to translate detailed business requirements into design documents intended to inform the RFT Architecture council and developers alike
  • Strong IT skills and background, especially in the financial services industry; comfortable with computer based tools, processes.
  • Experience in Database, C#.net, Java team management and understanding of Ab Initio ETL.
  • Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Ability to understand business requirements and design software solutions.
  • Strong data analysis skills and ability to present the findings to the business users.
  • Financial project experience is preferred
