Job OverviewTE Connectivitys Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.What your background should look like:ROLE OBJECTIVE To perform Pre-Production activities, to handover the Tools for Production.RESPONSIBILITIES To Maintain and do Assembly activities of the Tools until handed over to Production. Tool manufacturing purpose Good understanding of drawings, follow up inside the TE tool room and with the suppliers for spares/Tool parts & accessories. CAD activities involve in reviews, FMEA and in basic CAD activities to speed up the process. Trouble shooting - issues tracking and analyzing during the trials to find out solutions to speed up activities. To handle the tools for both Wagholi and Shirwal plants. Good project management skills, ability to work with multiple projects at once Validate concept designs using simulation results and determine design robustness, critical to function requirements. Process guidelines (IATF 16949, and needed ISO), Involve in Kaizen vents to save costs & time. Deploy standardized process and work methodology. Benchmarks implement productivity improvement methods. Track monitor metrics for sustained performance covering quality & delivery. Collaborate with Tool room, Design & production teams to enhance the design & process optimization.EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGEDiploma in Tool and Die making from GTTC/NTTF or from reputed institute.En Knowledge on product, design processes and methodology. Expertise on in Tool Assembly, Trials, Machining process, Measurement techniques, process of Molding & Stamping. Understanding of LEAN / 6 Sigma / Kaizen techniques. Proficiency in tool making, application / selection of tool steel, heat treatment, and plating / coating. Knowledge of geometric tolerances and GPS. Scientific injection molding Technique and / or Master molding Certification are preferred. Strong knowledge on Engineering Plastic resins and Metals. Know how - MS Office tools. CRITICAL EXPERIENCE4 - 7 years of industry experience.
