Manager, IS Disaster Recovery/ Business Continuation->> Leads a small team of recovery analysts responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining processes to ensure continual operations in the event of disaster or interruption of information processing services. Participates in the coordination of recovery test scenarios and their evaluations. Monitors required improvements to the process. Monitors and reports on all planning activity and statistical results to senior management and financial regulatory agencies to ensure corporate regulatory and audit compliance. Keeps abreast of industry-related disaster recovery processes and evaluating the effectiveness of implementing changes to existing practices. Trains staff in technical tools and skills, as well as specific applications or systems and their business functions to maximize their contribution to the team. Tracks progress of each recovery project, issues encountered and follow-through to resolution. Meets regularly with business areas to maintain an understanding of their needs. Coordinates staff to maximize the teams ability to meet their needs for business continuation. Manages a small business/ disaster recovery team, contributes to the achievement of team objectives. Bachelors degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, 6+ years of experience in business/ disaster recovery required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
