MY SQL Database Administrator 3-6yr Exp-sql Tuning, Pune,Sr.MY SQL Database EngineerDatabase Engineer:ResponsibilitiesContribute to our continuous database availability, via execution of best practice database backup, restore and recovery procedures.Perform complex root cause Analysis of problems and subsequently, make and implement recommendations to prevent future occurrences or customer impact.Define, develop and deploy system monitoring requirements/thresholds as well as corrective actions. Improve the system reliability via predictive analysis.Collaborate with and provide detailed feedback to internal/External Database cloud stakeholders on resiliency initiatives.To Participate in production Incident Management / Escalation Management call and be able to drive the incident to resolution.Manage systems failure risks: critical change review, validation.Identify, design and develop self-healing responses to production database issue.Identify and write tools that will help automate common and critical tasks.Ability to work a shift designed to provide database engineering support on the weekday/Weekend(Oncall), follow the MySQL Model.Design, build, automate and deploy a highly available, robust, resilient and secure database solutions.Document all operational processes and procedures to optimize support and management of deployed systems - demonstrate proficiency in establishing repeatable processes.Required SkillsBS/BA Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.Minimum 5-8 years experience as an DBMS Engineer for mission critical systems.Strong Hands on Experience for Database Performance and Tuning is a MUST !In-depth knowledge and experience with SQL performance tuning & SQL optimization strategies.Candidate should have the ability to work independently on complex database performance issues and suggest solution for complex performance issues.During Crisis Candidate should quickly find the root cause or suggest a solution to come out of crisis kind of situationsCandidate should have skills to perform proactive/reactive performance tuning in production environmentCandidate should be able to perform in depth analysis for memory tuning , problematic wait events.Strong Technical skills on database administration and advanced troubleshooting is a must.Strong Technical skills on database management and advanced troubleshooting is a must.In-depth knowledge and experience with RDBMS HA solutions.Hands on operation of failover and switchover and troubleshootingHands on experience in dealing with Database Corruptions issue, Backup, restores and recoveries.Experience programming in any applicable administrative language (shell, Perl, Python,Java) is a must. Candidate with Python skills is preferred.MySQL / PostgreSQL experience.Strong Linux systems administration concepts.ITIL knowledge and Certification would be a plus.Candidate should be able to start work early in the morning.Desired SkillsFamiliarity with ITIL service operations, service transition and service design principles.Excellent communication skills and a great team player.Ability to learn quickly and deliver high quality code in a fast-paced, agile team environment.Good understanding of OS,Storage and SAN technology.
