Responsibilities include: Maintains monitoring of network infrastructure , including alert configuration , new device provisioning and general day to day functioning of the monitoringtool set. Analyzes performance data and metrics , identifies problem areas and providesactionable insight to problem resolution. Identification and resolution of network problems including routing , QoS , spanning tree , wireless connectivity , and application performance issues. Acts as Tier II line of support for Network Core trouble tickets. Acts as a point of escalation for other IS teams regarding network voiceinfrastructure issues. Reviews and responds to trouble tickets generated for the team by the corporatehelp desk; works with end users through resolution as necessary. Drives issues through closure engaging all appropriate cross - team resources. Performs routine maintenance tests for designated areas of engineering;identifies , isolates , and escalates issues to appropriate personnel. Proactivelymonitor and respond to system alerts and notifications. Performperiodic maintenance , hardware upgrades and replacement , firmware updates andsystem configuration changes. Administrationand support of Windows Server operating systems , including Active Directory , DNS , DHCP , and Group Policies. Monitoringand trending with Solarwinds and other VM tools to determine both systemperformance and availability. Maintaintechnical documentation that supports all areas of the web tier environment. Identifyand document new processes and incorporate them into the daily routine. (i.e.circuit monitoring) Assistwith the generation of monthly , quarterly and yearly performance metrics Monitoringand trending with Solarwinds and other VM tools to determine both systemperformance and availability. Monitoringand maintaining systems , networks and applications level alerts. Managetrouble ticket queue and take ownership of trouble tickets from triage to resolution. Contributes to organization overall success. Keep management , other team members and other departmental employees aware of obstacles andstatus changes in a timely manner based in our change management process. Consider the needfor other team members to support their areas of responsibility and openlyshares an understanding of these areas. Maintain aprofessional demeanor at all times. Consistently interact professionally andwork productively with all levels of Medline employees. Follow Medline s Codeof Ethics and other corporate policies. Qualification Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or relatedfield or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 3 years supporting networking and voice services to includeproduction and technical support. Intermediate knowledge of voice technologies IP telephony , SIP and QoS on LANand WAN. In - depth experience implementing and troubleshooting voice technologies. ,
