Position Overview:
The Operational Reporting Analyst develops, delivers, and maintains standardized reporting by way of dashboards and automated reports across a variety of platforms and delivery methods. The Operational Reporting Analyst works with internal business stakeholders to provide accurate measurements of past and present operational fitness. Additionally, the Operational Reporting Analyst helps to provide valuable insights into key business areas needing further development, refinement, or operational improvements.
Job Responsibilities:
50 - 60% of the candidates time will be spent in developing new reports and dashboards with a heavy emphasis on building out new Elastic stack capabilities focusing on Kibana dashboarding. The remaining 40 - 50% of the candidates time will be spent in refining existing reports (SSIS,MSQL, MicroStrategy) including updating metrics to meet evolving business need as well as executing upon ad hoc analysis as new needs/requirements arise.
Qualification Requirements:
At least 2 years of hands-on production experience: Working in DevOps, Operations, or equivalent role; specializing in data report development, metric design/definition, and development of automated operational reports Experience working with MSSQL 2012, 2014, or 2017 (or similar RDBMS) including: schema design, schema execution, authoring custom SPROCs / views, and query development. At least 1 year experience: Working with Kibana to summarize, visualize, alert internal users to data trends within production systems Working experience with one-to-many industry standard BI solutions (MicroStrategy, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) SSIS development for ETL and/or reporting automation (or industry equivalent tool) Self-driven and comfortable working on solo projects as well as a contributing towards team efforts Ability to talk nitty-gritty details with technical users/developers as well as summarize data findings for non-technical business users
Pluses:
Some on-the-job experience in technical writing; specifically, assisting business users finalize technical requirements (consensus building and documenting). Experience developing SSAS Cubes, building out small to mid-size data warehouse schemas, and standing up reporting atop SSAS cubes/Data warehouses. Some working experience with SSSRS Knowledgeable of data warehouse concepts (fact table, dimension, role playing, etc) Experience Jenkins, Subversion/Git, and SourceTree
