Job Description

We are looking for a VM Ware Admin for Vodafone, PuneImmediate or 15 days of notice period would be preferred.Experience : 4-6Location: Pune, VimannagarTop skills :-Role PurposeL2, L3 on VMware vSphere 5.x and 6.x Administration and Troubleshooting.Good verbal and Written Communication.Well versed with Infrastructure Management and team player.Key accountabilities (Role Description)

  • Working on INCs, SRs, CRQs, escalated issues and Service improvements.
  • Can do attitude
  • 24 X 7 Operational (Night shifts)
  • Customer-focused, getting things delivered attitude
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ideally used in international environments
  • Strong communication skills and Team player - ability to balance conflicting interests with customers
  • Bringing in CIs and identifying improvements to service is expected from the role.Primary Skills - VMWare
  • 1. L2, L3 on VMware vSphere 5.x and 6.x Administration and Troubleshooting.
  • 2. VMWare Site Recovery Manager (SRM)
  • 3. Knowledge on vCenter, ESXi upgrades
  • 4. Knowledge on VMware tools installation and upgrade
  • 5. DRS, HA, vSwitch, dvSwitch
  • 6. Extracting reports from vCenter and analyzing.
  • 7. Basic Knowledge on commmand lines like esxcli, esxtop
  • 8. Knowledge on analysing hardware issues of HP Proliant servers and troubleshooting.
  • 9. Worked on Incident, Change and Problem Management.
  • 10. Engage with Vendor wherever required.
  • 11. Knowledge on HP One view
  • 12. Good communication skills.Good to have:
  • 1. Administration and troubleshooting of Windows servers 2008, 2012 & 2016.
  • 2. Should have understanding of Microsoft patching life Cycle
  • 3. Knowledge on vRops
  • Education/ Technical/ Functional Qualifications and/or Professional Certifications:
  • Graduation (10+2+3/4)
  • Behavioural/ Personality Specifications required
  • Working under the guidance of a delivery lead.
  • Individual team player responsible to handle critical and complex issues.
  • Documentation and preparation of SOPs
  • Strong communication skills and Team player - ability to balance conflicting interests with customers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ideally used in international environments
  • Ability to work with ambitious timelines in a dynamic, high-growth environment
  • Persistence; goal-oriented style of working
