Job DescriptionOracle Apps DBAPrimary Location:India-Maharashtra-Pune Job Function:Information Technology Job Posting Date:Aug 24, 2019, 9:29:26 AM Description Position Located in Pune, India The Oracle Applications DBA will provide project and day to day operational support for Oracle Applications, Oracle databases and associated tools. This candidate will work with all areas of Oracle Technical Services (OTS), Oracle Support, Corporate IT personnel and other third parties as required. PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Provide day to day and project support for Oracle Applications; this includes but is not limited to: Managing all Oracle EBS instances managed by OTS Cloning / patching of EBS and core databases Monitoring alerts from OEM for EBS and core databases Working on Big Data technologies is an added advantage Exposure to troubleshooting EBS and Database performance issues Exposure to production support on critical systems Working experience on 24 / 7 operations Should be able to work in rotational shifts Having scripting knowledge in Shell / Python / Pl SQL etc is an added advantage Should be able to work in cross cultural work environments Communicate to stakeholders via standard methods (e.g. orally, email, ticket system). Resolve incidents and problems. Communication of same to stakeholders. Facilitate the promotion of application code, setups, databases and related components from the various levels of development through staging and production. Perform tuning of SQL and databases to support performance requirements. Provide and review traces. Follow standard OTS operational methods utilizing OTS standard tool set. Comply with Emerson policies and standards regarding data management and IT security. Develop or refine technical procedures, scripts and associated documentation. Assist in disaster recovery preparation, planning and testing Other duties as assigned by manager Requirements EDUCATION/LANGUAGE Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information systems or related English language required EXPERIENCE/SKILLS 4-5 years of Oracle Application DBA experience including three or more of the following areas is required: Oracle Technology and E-Business Patch Management and Oracle E-Business Applications, including experience with concurrent managers, workflow mailers, system profile setting, customization techniques, E-Business utilities, installation of E-Business suite) Oracle Database Administration including backup/recovery and performance tuning, grid, memory tuning, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Data Integration, Web Logic 4-5 years of experience preferred: Strong administrative experience of Oracle Applications and Databases, Apache, Oracle Application Server, and third-party tools (My Oracle Support, Kintana, Toad, PVCS, SQL, PL/SQL, etc.) Experience in working with Oracle RAC and ASM Experience with Oracle data guard. Knowledge of traces, tkprof and find poorly performing SQL.sql, profiling, rewrite poorly performing SQL. Knowledge of Configurators, JVM s, archiving and purging tools like HP Archiving Knowledge of oracle database wait events, Database and Application parameters Ability to fine tune the concurrent processing in large EBS environment. Two plus years of UNIX/Linux experience including shell scripting required Experience in a complex, large volume operation preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills required,
