Job Description

*RUBY is Citis strategic end-to-end consolidated balance sheet forecasting platform for both finance and risk users. It serves both internal users and external regulatory requirements. It is a data analytics platform that forecasts balance sheets across various stress scenarios at a Citigroup level. It sources data from various firm-wide systems and runs advanced forecast and risk analytics on the data against highly configurable models and algorithms and produces output real-time. We are building a team of innovative and enthusiastic technologists to work on the revamp of this platform to move to modern architecture including micro services, distributed computing and big data platform.Job DescriptionJob Purpose:

  • Oracle SME responsible for Database Development and Administration
  • The candidate would be responsible for performance monitoring, tuning efforts along with creating and implementing various data management strategies. The candidate will apply internal standards for re-use, architecture, and testing, general best practices and help enhance system capabilities and build robust, scalable systems
Job Background/context:
  • Oracle application developer
Key Responsibilities:
  • Overall 5-7 years of experience in Oracle Database Development and Maintenance.
Strong technical expertise on below areas:
  • PL/SQL Development
  • Oracle Performance Tuning
  • Writing and Maintaining Complex SQL Queries
  • Coordination with Application Support to fix Issues and bugs
  • Database Design and Modelling
  • Prior experience in working on DSS and VLDB systems would be good to have
  • Prior experience on Hive and big data will be good to have
Key responsibilities are:
  • Ownership and responsibility for end-to-end design and development, testing, release of key components
  • Ensure process compliance and manage expectations of the leadership
  • Actively participate in brainstorming session and provide solid inputs to the team
  • Create design document, test, release plans
  • Ensure best practices are followed
Person SpecificationQualifications:
  • First class degree with excellent academic qualifications. B.Tech. in Comp science, IT, or other engineering disciplines from a reputed institute with relevant work experience

  • Good written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand domain concepts
