Job Description

Rest of AsiaPrimary Directive:Responsible for supporting Supervisor, Payroll, Rest of Asia (ROA) in the overseeing, managing & administering the Payroll function in APAC Payroll India center in support of the company s strategic business objectives. Work closely with Country Human Resources, business leaders and Payroll Supervisor to ensure payroll management is aligned to regulators requirement and support the business goals and objectives of the organization. This role and its responsibility will involve to managing payroll vendor s performance including validation of payroll results etc. This role initial focus will be India before moving to support other countries within Rest of Asia Payroll scope.The Payroll Specialist main tasks/ responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the validation of Payroll processed by vendor, funding processing / reconciliation and payroll posting for the countries assigned, which may include India, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia, as and when required
  • Responsible for the validation of payroll year end reports / forms processed by vendor for the countries assigned
  • Responsible for accurate and timely submission of tax and statutory filing for all employees.
  • Documentation of all payroll related policies / procedures and ensure they are updated periodically
  • Responsible to update and align standard operating models including standard payroll report formats, SOP, checklist, payroll calendars etc.
  • Liaises directly with third party vendors and manages the relationship to ensure smooth and timely delivery of payroll.
  • Take ownership of processes and serve as point of contact for all payroll operations escalations and query resolution partnering closely with payroll vendor
  • Responsible for all system enhancement projects and ad hoc initiatives related to process improvement
  • Keeps abreast of best practices and changing regulatory requirements at the national & local level, as appropriate, and ensure Company compliance.
Requirements Education (technical and/or commercial)
  • Bachelor s Degree in HR, Finance, Business or related field required.
Job experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in a Payroll or HR operations.
  • High English Proficiency (written and spoken), capable of delivering presentations and coordinating work teams in English.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in multiple projects successfully and simultaneously.
  • Ability to understand and develop successfully partnerships with customers.
  • High Customer Service orientation.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to track and follow up.
  • Excellent attention to details.
Professional knowledge:
  • Experience in APAC payroll in additional to India, such as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand is preferred
  • Experience in Ramco, Workday, Microsoft CRM Dynamics is preferred
