Job Description

    To manage piping engineering activities and deliverables for specified process sections of a project including day to day working and coordination to ensure smooth execution of project related deliverables.Responsibility
    • Undertake contract, design basis, and client specifications review to understand overall scope and nature of requirements.
    • Prepare costing, schedules, activity plans, in line with project proposal/ overall schedule and identify risk.
    • Ensure all documents (Equipment Layout and Plot Plan, Piping General Arrangement, Line List, Input document, Equipment CLD) are accurate and complete on schedule .
    • Prepare Piping Study and snake routing with supports and review nozzle orientation with process and static engineering departments.
    • Enable Model Reviews and approval as per project procedure.
    • Manage Technical Queries Request (TQR), Design Change Request (DCR), Field Change Request (FCR) w.r.t. Piping engineering with effective, ontime closure.
    • Build capability of 3D modelers.
    Other Responsibilities
    • Bulk / Preliminary MTO for estimation / procurement & its entry in MTO software .
    • Input document / vendor document review & commenting.
    • Piping MTO, Special Part Data Sheets preparation & SAP Indents
    • Coordination with Modeler & other disciplines during project cycle.
    • Identify risk areas or bottlenecks.
    Requirements
    • Technical knowledge in the field of Piping Engineering applicable to sector & industry.
    • Well-versed with piping engineering aspects & activities.
    • Understanding of design Codes, standards & regulation understanding.
    • Conversant with Piping Components & dimensions / material standards.
    • Conversant with Hygienic Piping.
    • Hands-on Experience of 3D Modeling (Software like Auto Plant, Plant 4D, PDS, PDMS, Micro-station, Solid works, Smart Plant 3D, AutoCAD etc.)
    • Conversant with other disciplines like Civil, structure, Instrumentation, static / Rotary equipment & packages.
