DescriptionSGA Data Analytics (DA) team is looking for a passionate self- starter who loves the challenge of solving problems by working with cross functional teams to build tools and reporting dashboards that deliver actionable insights. The DA team presents exciting opportunities to build analytics on very large data sets in worlds largest and most complex data warehouse environments. We service our customers with reporting architecture that leverages PowerBI, Tableau, QlikSense, OBIEE, SSAS etc. As a BI Engineer on this team, you will be responsible for the design and development of insightful and interactive dashboards. You will have a direct interaction with customer teams and you will translate their business requirements into technical specifications. You will partner effectively with the IT stakeholders on common areas of scalability, data quality management, data delivery management and performance optimization. You will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions using third- party and in- house reporting tools, modeling metadata, building reports and dashboards, and administering the platform software. You are expected to contribute in all the phases of project life cycle. You will work closely with the business and technical teams in analysis on many non- standard and unique business problems and use creative- problem solving to deliver actionable output.Responsibilties3+ years experience with and detailed knowledge of data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, Business Intelligence reporting/ analytic tools.PowerBI Developer with an expertise to create visualizations that provides business insights for our global customers.Experience in relational database concepts with a solid knowledge of Oracle, SQL and SQL ServerStrong knowledge of various data warehousing methodologies and data modeling concepts. Hands on modeling experience is highly desiredUnderstanding of agile software development cycleFamiliarity with Cloud platforms like AWS/ Azure and experience with Big Data technologies such as Redshift/ Hadoop/ Hive preferredHave experience with performance tuning specific to PowerBITrusted to work independently with stakeholders at all levels (Account Managers to Directors)Excellent communication skills to be able to work with business owners to develop and define key business questions and to build specification for the data sets that answer those questions.Projects will include requirements gathering, design, deployment, and on- going enhancements request.Build prototypes for demonstration and illustration purposes for peer groups, Business partners, potential customers or senior leaders.Support peers and stakeholders as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) through troubleshooting, analysis of results.Act as mentor and PowerBI SME for other PowerBI developers across the company.Implementation experience with other reporting tools like Tableau, QlikView, Spotfire, MicroStrategy is highly preferred.Skills RequiredExcellent analytical, critical thinking and problem- solving skillsAbility to partner with internal and external peer groups to design and implement solutionsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsImplementation experience with other reporting tools like Tableau, QlikView, Spotfire, MicroStrategy is highly preferredQualificationBtech/ MTech3+ years of industry experience with BI Development - reports, metadata layer, dashboards, using BI tools.3+ years of experience using PowerBI3+ years of experience using SQLDegree in Computer Engineering or Information Science preferredExperience with ETL and data modeling,
